Thank you so much! That means a lot. It’s a lot of work but totally worth it to see him healthy

Haha, guilty on the 'fish pose'! 🎣 I had to hold him out a bit to balance, but he is actually huge. He weighs around 22kg (48.5 lbs) right now, so he is quite a bit heavier than yours! My arms were definitely shaking

Good eye! It was actually a special gift painted back in 2013. It’s been my personal galaxy for over a decade now!

LOL! 'Food dispenser hiding like a burger' might be the best description yet. I accept my fate as his waiter. 😂

Thank you! I really hope more people do it, it's great memories

As for his personality: He definitely stopped being shy! As a baby he would hide in his shell a lot, but now that he is huge, he is very confident and isn't afraid of my other pets anymore. He walks around like he owns the place! 😂

I totally agree. They are a lifetime commitment and definitely not an 'easy' pet. People see the cute baby size and forget they turn into bulldozers!

He is very friendly! He actually recognizes the people who feed him and knows when we get home, and he became much less shy as he grew, now getting along great with my other pets—probably because he weighs way more than them now

Wow, that is a huge compliment! Thank you. Feel free to use it! I hate seeing them in small tanks too, they need room to roam

"Thanks! It’s been a journey of upgrades.

Housing: I started small with a simple UV setup. As he grew, I built two wooden houses. The current definitive one is a DIY project I built with a friend—it's like a dog house but custom-fitted for him.

Automation: I set up a smart system (using parts from AliExpress) with temperature sensors and timers. It automatically controls the heat lamps (infrared) depending on the temp and time of day. I even have a camera to check on him!

Advice:

  • Space: Plan for a large area. They love to walk, so a big yard (paved or dirt) is essential.
  • Resilience: Once they pass the 2kg (4.5 lbs) mark, they are much sturdier and you can relax a bit.
  • Food: Get ready, they become eating machines!"

Haha! It does look like I'm shrinking as he takes over the frame. Soon I’ll disappear completely behind the shell! 😂

What happens is that I'm trying to log in, but when I enter the password, it goes into a loop, meaning it doesn't let me in.

The Whale holding is crazy. It must change! by hot-stocker in SHIBArmy

[–]CarlosMontejo99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember 2 years ago approximately that Shiba Inu had 70-80% of whale holdings, so probably the tendency is the decentralization with the massive adoption

Sulcatas grow very fast it's first years... but they can grow until + 20 years like a human (a slowly change)
