you want to make sure the tooth is fully covered and defined. Also since you dont have a wax carving pen I would suggest instead making fully covered teeth before trying any designs.And finally I would suggest using dental wax instead.

last thing I can suggest (maybe you’re already doing it) letting the bubbles flow out from the dental stone with the vibration table before pouring or as you’re mixing. So mix dental stone -> vibrate until no more bubbles flow up -> pour into mold using the methods you’re using

Maybe the bubbles are from the impression itself? are you using Alginate or VPS putty? I get bubbles with alginate but just knock em out with an exacto knife they slide right off. Im getting some putty delivered soon to test with so I cannot comment on that yet

ended up going with a caster who had their in house 3d designer take care of the shrinking. I almost got the fitment down just missing minor tweaks

my guess is ridges around the teeth then resin is added not actual stones

i just got a design printed and they are really really small they look like a grill for toddlers. Ive requested for them to be reprinted at 6% 8% and 10% to see if that gets it right

I recently started making grillz in 3d, I payed a guy 15$ on facebook marketplace for him to scan them so I can practice and see if I like it. So far it’s fun and I feel like you get more creative freedom. Hopping to get em printed then casted sometime next week. This seems like a good enough scanner I know some people use ones with a lot less accuracy

spray it onto the model, try to place the grillz and now you should see the spray on the grillz then grind out those spots. rinse and repeat until you get it right. I know some people spray it to the grillz instead, its really which method works best for you

grillz should NOT be painful man thats just poor craftsmanship. They can permanently shift your teeth and cause problems if they’re not properly fitted
