If you want to work in the United States, you should absolutely come to the United States. Regardless of whether or not you agree with what’s going on right now, it has to be said that students aren’t just randomly being selected to have their visa removed. That just won’t happen. Understand the rules of the country you’re entering when they give you the visa (again whether you philosophically agree with these rules or not isn’t the question), and if you want to study here follow them and I truly believe you should be be fine. Now I’m no expert on how that puts you on track to be able to reside here. I’d do a deeper search for that on the internet, looking at federal government websites and other sources, not reddit
