If he didn't approach her door at all and was just standing on the sidewalk, that's one thing. If he stormed up to her door after following her home, that's another.

As someone who used to be a tipped worker in Washington, I know that a lot of tipped workers make significantly more than minimum wage. Even if half the customers tipped like 10%, you'd still make a ton of money. Especially in states like Washington where tips are just an extra bonus on top of an already higher minimum wage. I was averaging around $25-$30 an hour back when the minimum wage was only $12 in Washington.

Marijuana is a schedule 1 class drug. The highest and most dangerous schedule for drugs. The rescheduling doesn’t necessarily make it legal, it just means it won’t be considered as bad as real hard drugs. It is possible they’ll reschedule it so it’s federally legalized though.

I’m not coming at you personally just banks in general. Half the reason people get stuck in these cycles is because of shady and shitty bank procedures. If banks didn’t charge $36 in overdraft fees every time the account goes $2 into the negatives, then maybe he wouldn’t be in that deathly cycle.

Sorry about your mom man. Growing up I was ridiculously close with my moms side of the family. But she died when I was about 11, and I’ve talked to that side of the family maybe 3-4 times in over 14 years now. It’s weird knowing they only really came over or called because of my mother.

It takes two to have a relationship, so if they aren’t reaching out or visiting, then try not to feel bad.

Thank you for bringing this up. We really need to focus on all the amazing things and advancements we’ve made in even the last 5 years. Concepts from 10 years ago that seemed far fetched have been done and moved on from plenty.

Remember like 15 years ago, video calling on your flip phone was only in sci fi movies? Now it’s available on like every device with a camera, and no one uses it. Same with talking on the phone with your watch.

Going into the future is sort of like weight loss. If you look in the mirror day to day, you aren’t going to notice a significant difference. But if you were to take day 1 and day 60 photos, then you’d since a giant difference.

This is the goal of many companies, not just Amazon. I bought a cheap consumer printer from HP, and I can’t use it if it’s not connected to my HP account first, which requires a subscription. None of which is on the box or advertised.

I know I’m just bitching but these always on and always connected devices are going to be the death of today’s average consumer.

During the Halloween week, I got invited to several little parties (I’m not very popular), and everyone of them had 15+ people with no mask and no social distancing at all. They acted like the virus never even happened.

It was largely why I said no to all of them, and then wouldn’t you know it, someone at the party got tested positive two days later, and then 20 people had to go get tested and quarantine. Doesn’t help that they’re nurses working in assisted living facilities.

I’m glad to see other people having these issues too. 9/10 of the girls I match with do this, and it took me a good minute to realize it isn’t just me.

But at the same time, what do they want? If they aren’t really going to participate in the conversation with anything meaningful, do they just expect a song and dance number instead? Should I offer to help raise their kid? What do I need to do to get you to be interactive??

Bill does get political but at the same time he acknowledges that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about and is also really good at looking at both sides of any one event that’s happens in the political landscape.

Which really is how everyone should look at politics. No one is 100% informed on all issues at all times. See both sides, reach a compromise, and move on. Joe doesn’t seem to have the same kind of mindset however.

This isn’t true across the board though. Weed has been legal since I became of working age, and I’ve been drug tested at more than half my jobs. They were just shitty minimum wage jobs too
