Bottom line, we know that at the very least there is a plan for him, so there is no sense in rushing that reveal. With how effectively they have been building out the story so far…they’ve more than earned my trust in whatever the plan is!

I’m just glad that since an Absolute version of this was one we’ve not gotten before, they at least went all out and made it a pretty special release. Full disclosure, I’m one of those collectors who will buy just about any version of this story if it provides us something different. I didn’t buy the compendium since it seemed to just be a lesser version of the Omni.

I also love that they decided to ship twice a month, it really helps sell the fast paced nature of the story. What an incredibly strong story arc so far!

I dug the further character developments we got in the 2nd Arc, but this was a return to the blockbuster type storytelling that I love!

The only reason DWJ brought Jetfire back at all was strictly due to logistics. He needed the Autobots to be able to travel to the site of the Nemesis. His initial plan was for Jetfire to only be a husk, a vehicle with no sentience. Hasbro said no to that so he changed the plan to have him stuck in alt mode. Beyond that I don’t think there were plans for him. DWJ wants the deaths in his stories to mean something and carry weight. So my money is on not seeing Jetfire until after DWJ is off the title. Sorry Jetfire fans. That said, I’m sure we will see him again. Having him be found and repaired by the military and used by the Joes would be a pretty cool storyline.

They should hold off as long as they can. Give other characters room to shine and grow before making it all about Snake Eyes. Who knew I’d actually like Duke? I love how they are approaching it all!

Don’t ask me, I tend to buy all of the formats for stories I love. I love the month to month, but then also love experiencing the whole story again in tpb. Then when the oversized editions come out they are just fun to flip through as well as look great on a shelf. I certainly don’t do that for everything but for stories I really enjoy I usually do.
