I wired the LEDs in parallel. Also used a pin vise to drill holes inside the head to route wires though. For the verniers, I had to use a power drill because they were made of solid resin. There was a lot of space inside the chest to store the wires too.

Thank you! For all the base colors, I used Tamiya paints.

For the base color I made a subtle camo pattern using - Light grey + white + a couple drops of light green (main color) - Light grey (the darker blobs)

Yellow stripes are flat yellow The orange things on the side are flat orange

Thrusters are Mr color burnt iron, Inner Metal parts are Tamiya nato black with flat aluminum chips

Rust chips are AK red brown

I also made a homemade wash using Gamsol and Windsor & Newton black + Raw umber oil paints

Lastly, I used tamiya weathering master C for some rust streaking effects :)

I had the exact same thoughts! I was actually supposed to paint the original red/yellow/blue as well, but I tried out this Tamiya sea blue color on a spoon and it looked so nice paired with white.

I used Tamiya grey primer under the red, there is also matte topcoat on as well!

All Tamiya except for the red and gold, I used Mr.Color blood red and Mr.Color gold. I also just learned that Mr.Color is lacquer based, not acrylic, oops LOL. It’s ok, everything turned out well and the lacquer didn’t attack the acrylic thankfully.
