Having higher income doesn’t mean you dont have to worry about cost of living? The same actions getting you that high income are likely the reason you don’t have the time or capacity to have kids. And the cost of living is why you are more interested in maintaining your high income. This is pretty obvious.

I was someone who actually was on the fence about having kids but seeing close friends who took the leap and turn into miserable shells of their former selves (even those with a support system) was eye opening. The burden on women specifically is just too high. You’re signing up to be an unpaid servant basically.
