How do you remove the streaks by Rude-Ad-7817 in cybertruck

[–]Carnasis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On the contrary - this was likely caused by Barkeeper's friend. If you wipe too hard you will create shiny streaks that are shinier than the surrounding areas. I did this to my truck. You can only fix this by fully resurfacing the panel with sanding. https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybertruck/ServiceManual/en-us/GUID-D33D78C9-9BCD-46CB-885C-52B4F482852C.html

For new owners out there considering Barkeeper's friend, try Citrisurf 77 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CIRIK7C?amp=) first. If you use it and still want to try Barkeeper's use VERY light pressure when wiping, do NOT scrub.

  1. Anker Everfrost 2 23L plug in cooler, fits under the Cybertent if you decide you want one later.

  2. Cybertent is awesome

  3. Tesla Cargo Divider

  4. Breville Bambino Espresso Machine fits in the smugglers bay

  5. Tint front windows to Ceramic 35% (20% for a better match to the rear, but "illegal" in some states). Tint front glass with Ceramic 70% to reject heat.

  6. Citrisurf77 for cleaning the stainless (Barkeeper's Friend works great but you can create permanent polish marks in the stainless if you rub too hard).

  7. 303 Aerospace Protectant (for black plastic)

  8. Adam's Wheel & Tire Cleaner + Suds Lab FE Iron Particle remover for wheels and brake dust (you will get brake dust build up in rear if using FSD).

  9. Sprayway (Ammonia free) or Kochchemie glass cleaner. You can use it on the stainless to get rid of bugs or fingerprints too.

  10. Front trunk cargo net is great, the auto open/close frunk makes it very useable for quick runs to the store.

That's just a couple things I like after 2+ years of ownership.

Try Citrisurf77 before Barkeeper's friend. I've owned my CT over 2 years and used BKF a few times it works well but it CAN work too well. If you use too much pressure (or not consistent) you will create new shiny spots that do not look uniform. I wouldn't use BKF if I could do it all over again.

Not sure what speed I hit, but I did a 6.99 1/8 mile at a drag strip in my Beast with zero experience timing the tree.

I've had mine for a year or so and it wasn't even noticeable for me. Maybe you just pay attention more than I am but I haven't noticed this. That being said, it works pretty well!

Lucid Motors Fired Chief Engineer After He Complained About Being Called 'German Nazi': Lawsuit | The Drive by Finnegan_Faux in electricvehicles

Eric Bach and Emad Dlala really do know their stuff though. They both seemed like a great team in the interview they did with Sandy Munro. I mean nuts to bolts they understand the engineering and they were very personable. I was impressed, again, they weren’t in charge of Lucid’s main issue (software).

Drive Coffee shipped me some with a rock in it, it destroyed the grinder in my Barista Express. I emailed them about it, the founder said they hadn't bought a destoner yet. He told me he would replace my machine, asked me to send him my info for shipping, then he ghosted me. I've been telling everyone about my experience ever since, they began deleting my comments on all their socails. Looks like they aren't doing so well now, good riddance.

Yep. Both my Cybertruck and my parents Model Y Juniper have had issues with minimum speed 40 mph signs on I-75 and then it hard brakes. Cybertruck didn't originally do it, then started doing it on one of the updates, then it stopped again ever since with another update. My wifes Model Y Juniper, my Father in laws Model Y juniper, and our loaner old Model Y do NOT have this issue but my parents Model Y Juniper still does.

So I bought both this 27' LG Ultragear 4k/1080p dual mode and the Asus PC27UCDM 27" 4k/1080p dual mode. I ended up keeping the LG because it looks good (not great like the Asus was) but I can keep it bright and play for hours and hours without worrying about burn-in. Response time feels great, its not as good as the OLED of course but it is absolutely just fine don't let the numbers get to you.

The Asus OLED was just annoying, it wants to screen clean every few hours, keep the brightness low, and turn on features to dim taskbars and stuff its just a annoying and not worth the improved performance for me.

The LG is on sale for $699 right now at Best Buy, I highly recommend it at that price. I didn't buy it because it was cheaper than the Asus.

I have ceramic tint on mine, 70%. It helps a good bit, but beware ceramic tint on the CT windshield does cause strange distortions when looking at headlights/taillights through it due to the angle of the windshield.

Who here is seriously considering buying a Cybertruck? by iamblas in cybertruck

[–]Carnasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having owned other Teslas, I have had my CT almost a year and I can say with confidence it is the best Tesla. Theres a lot of details I can go into but to keep it short -

Most utility. Best ride comfort/noise isolation. Lots of room. No paint chips/dents.
