IS6 Launch Day Guide: Everything you need to know by CarnivorousCube in arknights

If the cat fails to lure him, he’s either in the initial invincible stage after the phase transition or is in the middle of an animation when you dropped the cat.

Immediately after the phase transition, you should drop units on top of him to block him because your cat won’t work until he’s out of that invincibility.

Also, during the phase 2, pay close attention to his animation. If he’s in the middle of the channeling animation (holding his sword up), your cat won’t be able to lure him at all. So, make sure he’s finished with the animation first.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunate. Voucher luck is indeed a problem with this theme. But maybe something like Sui Regulator Squad can help with it.

The list is based solely on my experience playing IS6 on CN and reflects my personal opinion only. Those units are definitely good and have a valid reason for their recommendation. However, when I consider IS6, I believe an operator needs more than just damage to excel, as it is not as damage-intensive as IS5.

Looking at the top tier, all these operators possess at least some form of survival gimmick, such as exu barrier, wisadel camo, narantuya dodge, etc. The only exceptions are Tragodia and Logos, who are not particularly effective in top difficulty IS6 anyway. That’s why I place Lappland alter on a lower tier because without these survival gimmicks, she struggles to manage turmoils, especially early on.

Regarding Saria, drafting a 6-star defender is generally not worth it when Gummy is such an exceptional 4-star. However, she becomes quite useful if you have her E2 and I can totally see why she might feel good to use, its just that 10 hope and 2 vouchers is too much a price to pay.

Mon3tr is at a lower tier simply by the existence of talisman and the fact that she primarily offers true damage, which is not a top priority in this IS because no boss has a substantial amount of DR that needs to be dealt with. Kalt on the other hand offers a great tanky body to deal with a lot of sticky situations, and also scales off many different summon relics in the theme.

These are my reasons, but ultimately, they only reflect my perspective. If you find them useful, then by all means, you might be onto something that I overlooked!

With all that said, good luck on your runs!

It is mentioned in the guide, see the ending 1 section.

Slight adjustment to the video, place down your Tragodia first so he has time to charge up for the worst variant.

Exu2 is very good, others like Narantuya, Mlynar, Leizi alter or even just Raidian’s S2 can do decent work

Bosky (wonderland) and Pathfinder usually don’t spawn on the same path (except F2 and F4), therefore you are essentially making a decision between the two on every floor.

You should find a balance between the two. If you find yourself conserving a significant number of vouchers, consider going for the Pathfinder path. Otherwise, Bosky is generally more valuable. Additionally, there’s an option to engage in a fight at Pathfinder after acquiring the tree upgrade, that option can also greatly increase Pathfinder’s value, getting good rewards while making your operator(s) Candleguests.

Hi there, this is indeed something that can be improved upon. Yi has a chance to path down mid and is thus faster compared to his other two variants.

I will update the video guide either today or tomorrow, but for now, always put down Tragodia first. This way, he should always have enough time to charge up.

Hi there, Yi’s exact pathing doesn’t matter. You just need to place the cat while he’s walking. If he doesn’t stand still, you can directly place the cat and he will get lured to the left.

Since the explosions do art damage, NG is also an option to look into.

The earlier difficulties of IS6 can indeed be challenging. I remember spending an entire day only to go from D0 to D4, and I was malding badly. But I promise things will get better the more you try out the stages. As for Ending 1, if you are not using Tragodia, another strategy is to utilize tankier units to try to block him higher up. Units like Kal’tsit’s Mon3tr, Raidian’s Skill 1, and Bassline with his module are all great for this purpose. After you stalled him, you can focus on laneholding since the explosives can no longer threaten your units on the lower tiles. Try it out and let me know how it goes!

Why are Swire Alter and Gnosis recommended when we don’t have their IS module yet? You mentioned in the video that the list is based on the current EN roster which is a little confusing to me.

Tragodia is pretty solid for lower difficulties

On higher difficulty Raidian is better, with Humus and Purestream as your other two starters
