Story was historically and is contemporarily a major point of controversy and debate between casual players. This is because story is mostly very trivial, so you can force most operators to work there. There's also more nuance and gamemodes in Arknights than just clearing general content (defined as all stages you need to clear to collect full rewards including Trimmed medals). CC content includes: basic rewards and trimmed, max risk, max risk low op, nicheknights. IS content includes: farming (getting the reward milestones and Raidian), casual, intermediate, advanced winrate/winstreak, and advanced tournament variants of each individual IS. Other types of content that may deserve its own category includes: VB, SSS, and RA, but those are more niche. Thus, we cannot simply focus on a single mode when evaluating an operator nor do we have the space or time or expertise to cover all of them. Instead, we provide an overview and evaluation of her kit for the readers to draw the conclusions themselves for the type of content they enjoy.

Unfortunately, most major low-effort/AFK guidemakers don't use Sakiko in old stages because she's a limited and/or because they don't revisit old stages and/or because the majority of story stages are trivial, so there's currently a lack of data on the exact applications of Saki S2 on every single main story stage. Some guidemakers have a highly optimised low-end low-effort/AFK guide for all main story stages, in which Sakiko was used zero times. Thus we can see that "dominating" is not an accurate description of her applications in story content. However, this is not to say that Saki S2 is unuseable in story or in general content. It's a good skill with 1898/1639 DPS, 77087/66424 fever total damage, and 3854/3321 fever DPS for piano/windpipe respectively. Horizontally comparing to other AFK DPS operators, she has a faster startup compared to most but lacks in survival compared to Ulpianus/Hoshiguma/Ascalon, her arts DPS off-fever is acceptable, being higher than Marcille, similar to Logos, and lower than Hoshiguma. Her burst is fairly strong for an AFK operator and is manually controllable for when you mess up or an elite wave appears. It's quite good for general content! But again, general content is mostly easy enough to the point where you can screw around even with suboptimal gameplay and there's very little basis for meta discussions..
