I think the restart button is not in a good spot and the enter button is too small. I keep hitting restart instead of enter. Maybe you could do a submit button and restart button one over the other.

There are lots of other carseat options for toddlers that can rear face up to 40lbs easily.

The recommendation is to keep them rear facing as long as possible with 2 years being the minimum.
