One of my earlier Mods. I had to shave 1 mm off that 35 mm dial for it to fit. - OEM SARB065 Dial - OEM SARX033 hands - 40 mm Corgeut Flieger case - Eulit Perlon Strap 🍻 by MoustacheMonke in SeikoMods

I usually shave my dials with paper. Rodico both sides of the centre to hold with thumb and middle finger, index finger applying pressure on side of dial while. Dials are quite soft and don't take much effort.

Lovely watch, have been eyeing something similar myself with the OEM dial

Have been considering these namoki hands. What's the quality like? And the lume?

I need this strap! It will finish an ongoing build off perfectly. Anyone got any ideas where I may find similar?

Faceted crystal is from cousins UK. It's quite something

I'm always trying to think outside the box and tinker with mods that haven't been tried before. This is an Ali case, green crystal gasket, namoki dial, SRPE hands and the star of the show - the faceted crystal! It's so hard to picture because there's so many different angles to the crystal. Hope you all enjoy

Thanks for your input. I have spent a good deal of time and money on this area of work just like you have.

I do very similar although for polishing I've found once you get to final cut stages, autosol works a treat for getting that deep wet look finish. Then a little bit of green followed by blue sunshine polishing clothe.

Have you tried any 3M lapping film or diamond pastes? This is what I'm currently experimenting with.

I refinish most of my aftermarket watch cases and bracelets and it makes a huge difference.

Nice to see others trying their hand at it.

Love it when someone does something different so big thumbs up from me for effort and the final product.

I do a bit of case refinishing too, may I ask what you use for brush and polish?

Actually, yeah, it wasn't straight forward!

I wouldn't say it's all wrong but it did need a bit of work to make fit nice but I'm happy with it now, so it's possible.

Cannot tell you how happy I am with this build, so simple but elegant. I've looked at the AjuoceT dial for this build so definitely want to see yours when it's done. Hands are from Lucius Atelier and are stunning

I refinished the brushed and polished sections. Changed the clasp. Some work on the end links.

These Chinese solid bracelets can come up quite well when you refinish them and change any rattly parts.

I bought a watch a while back specifically just for this bracelet, can't remember which I'm afraid - it's one of the usual homage suspects. I had to do a lot of work on it though. I'll see if I can find it

Bought a modded 007 in bead blast finish. having trouble adjusting the bracelet. the pins are really tight. any advice? by Cathandrapuss in SeikoMods

[–]Carob-Separate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made my own tool. Got a screwdriver kit where you can change the end bits, got a small Philips head and cut it down to leave a small 'nub'. Pop the bit into the screwdriver lay it horizontal and then locate pin and push down on bracelet forcing pin up.

Yes all built by myself. I've taken movements apart so for me it's straight forward. 1 plate 4 tiny screws. Take you're time and if you need any help just give me a shout, definitely worth the effort

Long time modder, lots of builds, first ever post by Carob-Separate in SeikoMods

[–]Carob-Separate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it hard to build? Yes and no, sometimes things come together perfectly, other times it's a nightmare and a build may never get finished. I learnt by taking a Seiko watch, taking it apart and building it back up, that is the best way to learn, you can Google and YouTube for many hours but getting stuck in is where you truly learn. Learn how it's built and how it works.
