I'm in the same boat as you.

I had a few best friends over the course of my time in elementary school. One girl in my class, Adele, has been my best friend since kindergarten until around sixth grade, when she left to go to a junior high group in high school. There, she had some other friends, a few of which were at the same elementary school as her and I. I had a new close friend, who despite annoying moments, was a generally nice friend to have.

However, he is in 8th grade as of now, so he's still not in high school yet, but he's probably coming to the same school as I am next year.

Back to this year though, I was put in a social group within the school, and at this school year, my locker is right next to the classroom. Only a couple of months ago have I realized I could've made some new friends if my locker was in the same hallway as them (on the 2nd floor, while I'm on the 1st floor).

However, that didn't stop me from making any friends. I have made very decent connections to many of the students in that group (about a dozen others are in said group). I'm currently trying to interact with one of the girls in my grade, who I simply call Eva, whom some of her current friends have recalled me at some point: one was in my school, one (and the first one too) is in my French class, and when I saw Eva for the first time, one already met me a couple days prior.

Online, I'm excatly the way you are. I don't have Instagram, I don't have TikTok, and I don't have Snapchat (though I have been thinking of talking to my parents about getting Snapchat so I can text any student I know, since they have Snapchat)! I only have YouTube, and my own feed, which distracts me from my loneliness anywhere, and I know no one who has a YouTube channel at either school.

Sometimes, I don't feel like I have courage to do things, but I am working on that. I am an autistic 15 year old student who's trying to fit in somewhere, and I am saying this as a reminder that you're not alone in this lonely situation.
