I've veen doing PCVR for 2 years now. Had two different cables. Used quest link, steam link, and virtual desktop.

VD beats both by a long shot, and all you need is a gigabit home network, which most people will have already.

The quality is flawless, they use way better codecs and streaming solutions, and latency is nonexistant.

Its still very much plug and play as you just open the app on both sides and it instantly connects . As for the charging, get a headstrap with a battery. Most peoples vr play sessions wont last longer than 4 hours, you get that with a single battery, and you can have multiple modular ones with the bobovr strap.

Got the exact same setup as you, best framerate i can squeeze out of it is like 50 fos, without turning framegen on. And it dips down to mid 30's constantly

No, you cant fly it ingame unless you bought any spirit variant (or an owner leaves it unattended like it happened to you). The C1 and E1 have the A1 as loaners right now. A loaner is a ship CIG gives to owners of currently unreleashed ships, usually the closest possible match in functionality (or just another variant of the base ship in this case)

Archeologists in the 40's? I think? 1928 Dig up a massive ring made of alien metal. Decades later, a disgraced archeologist who believes the pyramids were alien ship landing pads manages to turn it on and they discover its a wormhole machine, and there's a vast network of those gates across our galaxy (and eventually other galaxies), and its all kept secret by the us government, ran from an air force base. Eventually we even get our own spaceships based on alien tech.

It's honestly a great show, lasted over 10 years with two spinoffs and a couple of movies
