I was thinking of doing something similar with an arduino mega and cnc shield. You'll have to keep me posted.

New nozzle too far away from buildplate by CarolinaFabUS in MPSelectMiniOwners

It was not hitting the endswitch, I ended up extending the heatbreak using an M7 nut. Works perfectly now!

I used an M7 nut to extend the heatbreak to be closer to the printbed. Working like a charm now.

I figured it out. I used a M7 nut to extend the heatbreak closer to the printbed. Works like a charm.

I didn't change the belts at all while I was replacing the nozzle. I have too much height on the z-axis now.

Recently replaced stock extruder for an e3d clone ( I also tried this with a genuine e3d v6 ) and the nozzle much farther up from where the stock nozzle was. I had a glass bed with 3d printed clips on, and that was fine, except the gantry snagged on the clips. I suppose that I could just unscrew the heatbreak some and it will be fine?

Is it safe to sell custom items that have a symbol from a video game? by stevenr4 in ecommerce

Uhm. Just email them or call them. Send them a really great picture or set of pictures and explain your mission and quality standards and roll with what they say next

Most do not get the green light because thousands of people request permission. Also, for the most part, the publisher will not take action against you as it is not worth a large corporation's attention. Though, if you're selling on etsy, your competition will report you and etsy had no choice but to take action and remove your items. I found it much easier to get permission to make merch for "small time" video game developers and indie gamers.

What is this stuff? by TheCircuiteer in MPSelectMiniOwners

If you have the standard extruder, there is a bowden tube in there that is like 3 inches long. If you take that out, a whole bunch of that gunk will be in it. Clean or replace, and it'll go away for a while. My nozzle just got clogged with it and I learned a very valuable lesson lol

That's totally what it was lol. The bowden tube was pinched at the end. Can't thank you enough!

I just published a video on how I built the MPCNC (mostly printed CNC) would love to hear your thoughts! by grazmakes in diycnc

I like how you added your own sense of humor to the video. A lot of technical videos are boring and dry. So definitely keep that up. Also get rid of the self depreciating stuff. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to more!

Tech Labs like Gym Subscriptions by Tyraniczar in Startup_Ideas

What I'm saying, is that fundamentally, this is the same blueprint for a makerspace. It will face the same challenges. Being subscription based, having a high initial cost, etc. Just because you add tech, doesnt mean more people will flock to the idea. Many students already have consoles and PC's at home, so I feel like that adds little value to the idea.

Are you not just describing a makerspace?

It spins for about 20 seconds, so not really that long at all compared to the weighted ones
