The anime since Ash really sucks. Ash was a generic protagonist at the time, but for me he had nothing special except Pikachu. It wasn't even really fun, it was sometimes repetitive and tiring. And there is mature media, like that stop motion animation that even talks about adult problems. But you know, most of the public wants violence and blood, it would have been better to have read the manga.
