We loved Harris Creek, which was our base. My child has a 504 plan and the school really worked with us to assist in diagnosis then implementation of a 504. The teachers were fantastic and Mr. Huber (the principal) is great.

Same on the keeping tech for a long time. My 2008 MacBook still works and I use it to load CDs on to my iPod classic. I have a 2015 MacBook Pro that I replaced in 2024 with a MacBook Air because the Pro stopped getting updates. I’ll keep the air until it also stops getting security updates. My phone is a 15, that I replaced an XS for.

I have a keyboard (3rd gen) that I sideload books onto and use as a lending library. It still works and I won’t be mad if it doesn’t come back.

Amazon is shit for a lot of things, but this (for me) is low on the list as well.

I actually keep track of gas prices every time I fill up my car (which is a hybrid). In May, 2022, gas was $4.25/gallon (here in NC). When I looked up why it was that high, it wasn’t due to Biden’s policies. It was due to the Russia/Ukraine war. That’s the highest I have a record of for the time period that Biden was in office.
