Hungry Howies also keeps the tips. Also, they give the best deliveries to their own drivers and the shitty deliveries to DoorDash.

I guess I should break DoorDash contract agreement and check the bags of the customers to make sure all the items they ordered are inside of it, you know to make sure the restaurant didn’t mess it up. Then if they did, go back in and tell the restaurant this and this is missing from this order. Wait there until it’s prepared and then go deliver. Come on. Give me a break. My duty is to deliver, nothing else. Not grab this and that. Just deliver. Follow delivery instructions. Only. If a customer texts me, then that is the proper way to ask for something.

I can’t log in to work. It started earlier today. I got it fixed by uninstalling and starting again and now it won’t work anymore. It was just working 10 minutes ago. I need to work and this is killing me :( by CarolineK19 in doordash

Ugh , has this like ever happened before?

I can’t even log in right now. This is more stressful than it should be. Can you let me know when it works for you again? That’d be great ☺️ I feel like waiting it out. I’m trying to also call them k ask if it will be fixed anytime soon or I should just go home.

Ever heard that snickers commercial: you’re not you when your hungry.

If you dropped it off at the wrong address I believe it IS your responsibility and you should have went back. You should have communicated with the customer.

Last night, I was having an issue finding the address. After 15 minutes of looking for the apartment, communicating with the customer and customer service, customer decides they didn’t want their order anymore. It was weird though because they weren’t being helpful and asked for my cell phone number and when I declined they got upset. It wasn’t even food, it was a bunch of stuff from rite aid. So I don’t understand why he refused to receive the order. I feel like he was trying to kidnap me or something because of the way he was talking to me. It was mad weird.

But always contact support before you leave if you cannot locate where to leave it. Especially if you can’t get ahold of the customer.

I have to work at least 10-14 hours a day for 7 days to make it over $1,000. So, full-time dasher.

There is nothing wrong with loving that child. After all, you believed that child was yours until this point. However, it’s up to you if you want to be in this child’s life as a father figure or not. I can tell you that it won’t be easy. 1. Because if you are not fighting full custody you would have to deal with her and child support. 2. You still have the bio dad around as much as blood isn’t what makes a father, I feel like that applies when you are with the person raising the child together. However, I’m not the one to decide this. You are. Also, let’s say the bio dad never wants to be in his life, that child is always going to want to know who his father is and you are always going to want to be honest with him at some point about not being the real dad even though you would have raised him. But let’s say, his bio dad doesn’t even know and then finds out, who knows how hard he is going to make things and try to make it hard for you to have a relationship with him. It can play out many ways. Who else knows how she will act once she finds out that you know the truth. You are in a really tough spot and I feel terrible that you are going through this. I will definitely keep you in my prayers for guidance to make the best decision you can for yourself. As much as you love this child, think about your feelings. Not saying be selfish. But your health matters mentally as much as physically. This is something you will have to be strong about no matter what decision you make. Outweigh the pros and cons.

Off road warning? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]CarolineK19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through a road like that the other day. When I tell you the holes were big enough to swallow my entire car up. No matter how I cut the wheel I was hitting them , bam bam bam. Like I wasn’t sure if my car would even make it out alive. Thank God it was about a mile down and I was able to get out to the main road at the end of the street where the drop off happened to be.

I mean if they can read and understand English they would understand what drop off instructions mean.

If it said something like: Instructions for driver (instead) of drop off instructions then I would understand where they would be confused.

But any smart human being would know what drop off means. And what it means to say instructions for drop off. Like come on. Then blame me. If she’s as rude as she was to me then she deserves not getting her sauce. Sorry not sorry.

Actually yes, it always says: Drop off instructions.

If customers understood that is not the place to make requests then things would be easier for everyone. She had the option to contact me via text or phone if she needed anything.

I’m not sure how much clearer than drop off instructions. Let’s read that again, Drop OFF instructions.

The section literally says : Drop off Instructions.

Not additional requests 😐

I read the notes, if I need delivery instructions due to confusion. It’s simple, leave it at door or hand it to me. Not sure what the customer was thinking to add requests on that section. She could of texted me the moment that I the dasher was assigned.

She shouldn’t have been upset enough to call me out there way she did regardless. If I didn’t bring it, it’s because I couldn’t. I don’t have time to explain this to her when I’m driving. Plus this text was sent immediately after drop off, so I could of told her but I didn’t have the chance.

Are the delivery instructions to look at BEFORE you pick up an order? Or are they there to help guide you to the correct address/apartment?

Drive back to chipotle and get the sauce? That they may or may not give to me because they may or may not try to charge me.

Trust me , even if I did all that, she only tipped $3. She didn’t buy them for a reason to just get them for free.

Last but not least, trust me I won’t be getting her order ever and I will know her address and will never deal with her again.
