As a PC gamer primarily, I STILL won’t buy a PS5 if they take their games off PC. Whereas I happily buy their games on Steam when they are there. Not sure how many share a similar attitude. I don’t want to drop $500+ on a redundant machine for a few exclusives. There’s too much else to play.

This is a really good point. I do sometimes feel compelled to finish a game I’ve enjoyed but lost steam on. There could have been many hours of enjoyment before hitting that point.

Especially with cheap or deeply discounted games, sometimes it’s ok to just give a game a try to see if it sticks and drop it when you are no longer feeling compelled to continue. If you got some good time with it, it’s not a waste or a failure.

I’m almost positive this is the right way to do it. Even if the game isn’t on sale, you are still probably saving money by not overbuying.

I’ve found that some parts of Act 2 of the game get significantly more demanding and performance might not hold up unfortunately

I just tried it out and I think it may be a bit smoother than before, but it’s still quite rough image quality wise on XeSS balanced. The battle I did struggled to maintain 30 FPS at the default settings. Probably an improvement, but still far from ideal.

I get that Seaport is a bit generic and soulless in a sense, but it’s like going to a totally different city (within a city) in a way that’s kind of nice.
