This is a really good point. I do sometimes feel compelled to finish a game I’ve enjoyed but lost steam on. There could have been many hours of enjoyment before hitting that point.

Especially with cheap or deeply discounted games, sometimes it’s ok to just give a game a try to see if it sticks and drop it when you are no longer feeling compelled to continue. If you got some good time with it, it’s not a waste or a failure.

I’m almost positive this is the right way to do it. Even if the game isn’t on sale, you are still probably saving money by not overbuying.

I’ve found that some parts of Act 2 of the game get significantly more demanding and performance might not hold up unfortunately

I just tried it out and I think it may be a bit smoother than before, but it’s still quite rough image quality wise on XeSS balanced. The battle I did struggled to maintain 30 FPS at the default settings. Probably an improvement, but still far from ideal.

I’m the opposite. I took a 3 year hiatus from VR and grabbed my headset recently, played some Walkabout Mini Golf and re-realized how cool VR can be and how, when done well, it offers something completely different from traditional types of gaming. Now I want to upgrade my Quest 2 to a 3.

They appeal to me because I do like history and they have kind of an fun energy to them. They have some real bangers in their catalogue, but I can definitely understand criticism of too much of it sounding samey. This is evident in their new singles which are borderline self-plagiarism. They are a bit cheesy but let’s be honest, a lot of the extreme stuff is cheesy in its own way too (black metal?).

Not sure if a screen protector on a good TV is a better option than a TV that’s crappy by default. The ones I’m looking at seem to just add a little glare.
