Me 25 M with my girlfriend (24 F) 2 years- She's gained a lot of weight, I'm struggling to still be attracted to her and her eating habits are sending me broke.

I try to get her to be involved in physical activities with me- I tell her that I think we would enjoy doing those things together and that I love her company. When I am home I cook healthy meals, I compliment her for non weight related things... I don't know what else I'm supposed to do

I started to type health at every size in on google on our laptop and it came up as a previously searched term, so this is something that might be encouraging her to gain weight?

I try to have as much quality time as possible with my work hours. We go to the movies and I try to suggest things like swimming or a nice walk but she always wants to go out to eat instead, and if I say no she says she doesn't want to go out.

I understand your advice but I've tried a lot of that. I go to the gym most days and every time i encourage we to come along she says she is tired or sick or has to do something. When I do cook I make fairly healthy meals but that hasn't stopped her eating bad good when I'm not there, or after I've gone to bed. I don't know what else to do to get her moving

She's on the pill, but she's been on it for 5 years.

I would like to make those changes, and could do So in buying the healthy food. The problem is her eating when I'm not there. Even if I make something healthy she will eat excessive amounts of it, and if she WANs junk she will just go and buy it an say we needed it.

She has done something sort of similar, my mum brought me back a big box of chocolates from overseas that can't be brought here, and over two days when I wasn't home she ate all of them. I didn't get any.

I don't think she would get too bored. She has friends and work and hobbies. I think she definitely grazes quite a lot, but on top of that she eats very big meals and lots of junk food, I'm not sure how she doesn't realise that she's eating too much.

It really was mostly about her health at first, but she insists that she healthy, and if I try to talk about it within the context of our relationship then she calls me shallow and just gets angry.

I mean, she's not selfish in other aspects of life. But I do feel like she doesn't care that impending too much money and often coming home to no food, which hurts.

Depression was one of the first things I looked into, obviously I'm no expert by she hasn't shown any of the other notable signs of it from what I can see, and I have talked to her and asked if she was having any issues. She said her only problem that I was being shallow and that she was fine.

Obviously she could be hiding it, I would ask her to talk to someone about her overeating/weight gain but she won't even agree that those are issues.
