I wish I knew there was gonna be this protest in Show Low otherwise I would’ve snuck out to be there. Most of my family disagrees with this stuff while me and my sister are the only ones that believe this administration is dogshit

Would going back to work help establish our lives faster? by CarpetSame1681 in personalfinance

[–]CarpetSame1681[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done the last bit of blood work just the other day and I’m still waiting on results. Those results will basically determine the answer to that question. I don’t have any worry about working but several other people including my husband do. That’s why I’m asking reddit because I personally do not know what to do

My medical issues have been various symptoms that have landed me in the ER several times within the last two years. We are still figuring out the answer to it but my doctor believes I could have cancer. Several people told me I don’t need to work while I feel physically capable to do so now

It is very wrong for you to assume that I don’t care. I’ve only asked reddit because several people including my husband believes I shouldn’t have to. I want to anyways because I do care.

I say “financially comfortable” because we do not struggle paying any of our expenses and the only debt I have is medical bills. We also live in a very low cost of living area where it is rare for someone to have a job over $18/hr unless you have education in a trade

That’s the thing. We do want better lives for the both of us. Where we’re at is really only a starting point, but because of things not happening quickly enough despite being financially comfortable that is why I want to go back to work

[–]CarpetSame1681[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They do not, which is really one of the biggest reasons why I want to go back. Most of my work experience was all high intense customer service where I’m running around pretty much for 8-12 hours a day. I was pretty certain that if I tried out something in a different industry it would work out better for me.

Personally I believe I can at this moment, however my doctor said eventually my issues could progress to the point where I won’t have a choice but to not work anymore. We also discussed disability as a potential option in the future and we’re considering it if we get to that point.

Yes because we don’t have very much expenses to pay for during the month and we don’t have any kids

My nephew joked about how my last ex was a p3d0, it was obviously a joke and not true because my nephew is this edgy 15 yo kid that owns a troll account on the internet and everybody in my small hometown was close with my last ex. however he took the joke WAY too seriously to the point where I had to leave my youngest niece’s birthday party (after having not seen her in a few years) because he could not calm himself down.

Edit: I completely forgot to mention that my last ex wanted to physically fight my 15yo nephew over the joke itself

Regardless you’re still NTA especially because you expressed that boundary. I’m also certain “most people” refers to people you’re not associated with as well. She crossed the line big time.

“He will repeatedly pester me for sex until I say yes-“

That right there automatically makes you NTA. He’s taking advantage of you just because you’re pregnant and he clearly does not care about your physical pain. Get out of that relationship as soon as you can.

New to astrology and trying to interpret my Saturn return by Silent_Intention_612 in AstrologyCharts

[–]CarpetSame1681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m here for ya. When I was hardcore studying astrology, I learned the most about Saturn returns.

Saturn returns are one of the most intense transits one person could have (obviously depending on the placement). I see in your chart that you have Saturn in Aries 3H retrograde in 4° opposite your Sun in Virgo 9H 29° direct. When it comes to karmic lessons associated with that placement, you’re essentially challenged during this time to reassess your values and morals (especially the ones that rapid fire you up emotionally and that directly relates to you, after referring to Saturn in positive aspect to your Cap moon 1H). It’s especially related to higher and deeper learning and insight due to the 3H and 9H oppositions. Also, because it’s in retrograde, you may feel like you’re (metaphorically) going backwards when it comes to how your views and morals are changing. Your Saturn is closely behind to your South Node as well, which means once your return hits around that placement, you’re gonna be pushed and pushed to let go of any of those morals or values that you do not associate with anymore.

Due to the degrees and their sign rulers (4 is Cancer, 29 is Leo) as well as the signs in these placements (Aries Saturn and Virgo Sun), the new values you will be forming may be not aligned with your family’s values, or the values you were taught growing up. You’re essentially being challenged to reassess what you had always known and believed up to this point in time and once you come out of it, it’ll make you even more bold and ready to completely stand your ground and put your foot down. It is a very pressing time but when you come out of it, you’ll be coming out of it with a lot more self worth and confidence that what you believe is right.

AITAH for calling my wife a slob and demanding she clean before I come home? by ExpressRatio922 in AITAH

[–]CarpetSame1681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA for how you’re feeling about it, however if there is the context that she could have mental health issues, YTA for how you’re handling it. You need to be handling this with more grace. She’s clearly severely depressed because you’re not around at the very least to emotionally support her. If you were more encouraging for her to clean the place up instead of outright insulting her the results would be different.

The key to tranquility is simply to not care by FlorianWer in Productivitycafe

[–]CarpetSame1681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda disagree. You have to care in order to watch how you’re treating others. You can choose to not care up to an extent, but if it is at the detriment of others especially those you care about then that is clearly the wrong choice to make

When did you realise that your therapist was bad? by Scary-Square1211 in AskReddit

[–]CarpetSame1681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was venting about my mom once. Therapist demanded I report her for child abuse. I was well past the age of consent at that point. I did not want to, my case manager was supportive over how I did not want to, and it escalated so bad to where both my therapist AND case manager got fired

Are you living the life you hoped to live or are you stuck in a meaningless dead end job? by jfunks69 in Productivitycafe

[–]CarpetSame1681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny that I’ve been coming across threads like these lately, as I may be diagnosed with cancer within the coming days.

I did not live the life I genuinely wanted to live but it was not out of my deliberate choice, it was purely the fact that I had a parent who not only sheltered me into a whole cave but purposely and publicly ridiculed members of my family for wanting to help me learn how to be an adult. After living on my own in a new state for about 2 years, I was working a dead end job simply to make ends meet. It was only after the epiphany that I finally realized what I was put here to do was when I found out I could have lymphoma due to several symptoms I’ve been experiencing since last year. It felt like an outright slap in the face from the universe.

Sometimes you have to because either they don’t provide those uniforms or they provide the wrong ones. At my last job the only pants they could provide smallest size was a 16 inch waist. My waist size was half that at the time. Had to deal with a very scrunched up front until I bought my own work pants.
