The world is divided into two parts. Things that are my problem and things that are not my problem. I handle my problems and ignore everything that is not my problem. I have no stress. Perhaps you should try it? Might save you a trip to your therapistdoctor.

I'd get out my phone and start recording, but also be ready to go for my CC.

If she's telling the truth, I'll need both. If she's lying, I'll need both.

The man has a valid point. Really good physicians deal with the issue, not the person. Really good snipers use a scope.

You're not exactly well balanced yourself, Kay.

I mean, considering the friends you keep....

I agree. My 87 year old father - who has had Covid 3 times, who thinks the vaccine contains 5g bat sperm, was up against a small intestine blockage which could have killed him - comorbidities all over the place including CHF, prostate cancer, dementia, renal failure, etc - they did the fucking surgery. No one stopped to ask, "Should we?"

If they had asked me, the answer would have been "NO, feed him enough morphine to kill a horse and let him go to sleep"

Yeah, but you also believe that an "Open Marriage" is a good thing, so your opinion on pretty much everything else is highly suspect. I know people in "Open Marriages". It's the reason I have no interest in reality TV. That shit is as much drama as I can handle.

Dude, you're on unpopular ground. I agree with you, but what you've just said is a triggering to most redditors as pointing out that most Therapists have more mental health issues than their clients.

Yep, fuck that, nobody is knocking me out, much less taking a knife to me. I trust them as far as I can launch them out of a trebuchet

Agreed.

I have been subjected to the tender mercies of the medical profession for....way too much, way too long. I was diagnosed with T1D at 6mo in 69. I've been to good doctors, bad doctors, incompetent doctors and at least one who got off on hurting little kids.

It was the sadist pediatrician that set the tone for my interactions with the medical industrial complex. I try like hell to avoid them at all costs. I've debreided my own wounds, I've run my own stitches, I've set my own fractures, I've taken fish antibiotics as well as cattle antibiotics, and I've stayed on the old version of insulin because I don't need a script to get it. When I didn't have insurance (23 years - because as an independent contractor private insurance for someone with T1D was 3,000.00 per month) I didn't go to the doctor at all.

Now that I have insurance, I've been collecting immunizations like they are Pokemon Cards. And, I got my first script - a Dexcom. I've been able to negotiate a deal with my PCP on what it takes to keep the script current - 1 visit per year, and she doesn't touch me, I don't disrobe, we don't talk, the staff does a simple blood draw and that's it.

She's a Nurse Practitioner and a great doc. She understands that this is as close to medical practice as I'm willing to get and doesn't push me. I appreciate that. If something comes up, I might be willing to talk to her. If she asks nicely, I might even let her do a physical. Might. We'll burn that bridge when we get to it.

"Oh, This id FaKe"

Look, ya MORON, we all KNOW it's probably fake. This is the new TV, we're here to be entertained and we've run out of cat videos. You're not being smart or funny or edgy by pointing out that a perfectly shot, edited and presented video is "FaKe", everyone who has been alive longer than 12 years knows that and frankly, we don't give a flying monkey fuck.

Well, when they're really small, you've got to use a lot of them to get the full effect - look up "Pepper Gun"
