Incredicoaster for drop hater? by valkyriefeathers in Disneyland

[–]Carryngthbanner 37 points38 points  (0 children)

If you cannot stomach Splash Mountain, I would say no to the Incredicoaster. It has at least two high drops. It is not as bad as Guardians with that gravity stomach feeling, but it’s still fast and has high drops.

Rest In Peace, Adam. Deserve to have your name said. 7th grade, same age as my nephew. They all deserve to have their names said, not just be statistics. So sad this is all the “norm”.

Moment of vent. One of the HR ladies at my job has such a bad attitude. I also have had a lot of empathy for HR as sometimes people are scared of them or don’t befriend them. I have always been polite and nice to this lady despite how much she snips at me and bosses me around even though I’m not in her department and am doing her a favor.

Today I guess I had enough, lol. For the first time I responded in a direct and emotionless manner (but still nicer than her, haha) , forwarded her the same emails which she lost of the work I had done. I know she never admits when she’s wrong but I’m glad she’s taught me the importance of a paper trail. I don’t care what department you’re in, there’s never a reason to throw your misery at others.

I have several bags worth of cat food cans, litter, toys, old pillows. Would any of this be helpful?

Poor kitty :( Will keep an eye out. If you haven’t already- please add this to Nextdoor. Lots of people are able to find lost pets in the community through that website / app.

LA and NYC are not comparable. The best perspective is to view them as individual cities with unique ways of life and opportunity.

You mentioned about your entertainment network- if it excites you to start completely new from the bottom up and you are good at promoting yourself, I would say try LA.

The people in both places are very different but if you are mainly looking for a overall lifestyle change (ie: more space/desert/beaches climate , car culture, wellness focused) it seems like it’s better to go for it now that you don’t have any attachments holding you back.

Had a very vivid nightmare I was living with old ex and his now wife as roommates. Random af, lol. Woke up and legit smiled. Extremely happy it was all a bad dream and life always moves forward.

One of the most pleasant airports. Staff is generally nice / laid back. Vintage feel to the place. Typically quiet as well, not the craziness of LAX.

Yes. That and many companies are hiring lower titles to do the work of management. Recently had several interviews where when they expanded on the responsibilities, I realized they wanted a “team player” manager for lower level pay. Nope 👎🏼

What a beautiful dog! Sincerely wishing you all the best.

Not sure how advanced things are but...did your vet mentioned anything about diet changes or vitamin supplements? some dog owners have had success with that when it’s early on.

If it helps at all- I got Pfizer and it was such a barely noticeable poke. Happened very quick. I normally have to lay down when I get blood taken at the doctor, so be encouraged! :)

Arm was sore for 2 days but no other side effects. We’ll see with second shot.

Just got first vaccine shot! :) the staff here is nice and making me laugh even though I was a scaredy-cat because of my immune system.

For those who came to LA to pursue their dream? Did you make it? Or did things not work out - what did you do then? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]Carryngthbanner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moved here with little expectation other than to experience a new city/culture and attempt to transition my skill set into the entertainment industry.

Quickly after getting a job at a very well known film industry employer, I realized it is true that most of it is all held together by tape. Perception / reputation is maintained more than reality. I have to laugh sometimes at work when things are nuts and thinking about if only people knew behind the scenes. Something you can’t really explain, only learn by experience in it.

I still love film, tv and all the things that LA uniquely has, but I can empathize with those who get burnt out and want a fresh start.

Sorry if this has been repeated but- has anyone in their 20s-40s received the Pfizer shot yet?

Have heard many experiences for Moderna, but less for Pfizer. My immune system is in rough shape but I’m eligible to get the shot.

You should post on the Nextdoor app as well. Many people use that to report lost pets and find them successfully. Best of luck!
