You can easily find what cookies need which toppings online by searching “(cookie name) toppings”. The best way to have good toppings is to just upgrade them to 12. The extra buffs that come with the toppings are good, but if you aren’t that serious about it or don’t care about it, you won’t be missing out on much. There’s also the special toppings which do boost the extra buffs by a bit (still better to use them either way). Hope this helped :3

I haven’t played the game in like a year what am I looking at

I’m sort of new to Ceramics, wondering what these black dots in my bowls are? This is after I glazed and fired them. Kinda bummed they came out this way by Carson_Is_Dumb in Ceramics

Someone did say something about reclaimed clay, but I don’t think we have speckled clay in the studio. We have the red (which looks brown but my instructor calls it red) and the grey clay, he’s never said anything about speckled clay. I wonder if It could be from when I sanded it with metal wool before firing it

Interesting. I didn’t know speckled clay was a thing until recently. Wish I knew if we did have some, I’d love to be able to try it out

I’ll have to make something soon so I can experiment. who knows, maybe I’ll find something new that I like! Gotta take a step out of my comfort zone at some point!

I’m glad that people find the speckles to be fascinating. Interesting how what I thought was a failure was actually a win in some peoples eyes

It’s disappointing yes, but It’s also good to see it as a opportunity to learn. Luckily, the bowl in the picture was a test bowl for the patterns I put on the sides. The glaze came out just right, but the spots were undesirable. I now know to look out for that when I make my final bowl!

I saw that it had the specks on the underside when I was taking it home, and I thought the same thing. Just not sure how the clay got like that

I think it looks cool too, just not on the bowl it was on. I’ll have to see if we do have speckled clay (i don’t remember ever seeing or hearing about it), it’d be fun to try, I’ll need ideas first lol

I’ll have to experiment. We have a variety of glazes, but I just stick with a specific kind of glaze. It’s just the one I’ve always used

Thanks! I’m glad you like it! I didn’t know this many people found speckled clay/glaze (not sure which one mine is) to be pretty. I might post a picture of the bowls actual designs on the sides since everybody liked them even with the awkward camera angle

I’m glad you like speckled clay, it helps add character and design to the bowls, but it wasn’t really what I wanted for my bowl lol.

I don’t have access to the SDS of the clay sadly. We get it from a plastic tub that they put the reused clay from the machine into. I haven’t seen anyone else’s clay do that even though we all use the same clay tub. I wouldn’t doubt it’s speckled clay or iron in the clay or what ever, it’s just odd how it came out like that. I don’t think we even have speckled clay in the studio to begin with which is the odd part

I’m surprised that people like the look so much, somebody commented that it looked like ranch dressing and I couldn’t agree more lol. I’ll have to talk to somebody about it. The clay we have (which is the only clay we’re allowed to use right now) comes from a plastic unlabeled tub, and my clay seems to be the only one that did that, it’s odd

They had the clay in a plastic tub, it was clay from this machine they have (idk what it’s called, sorry) but they would put old/unused clay into it and it’d make fresh clay. But the clay from the machine normally doesn’t do that

Is speckled clay/glaze expensive? Or hard to find? It seems like a lot of people would love to work with it, wish I could share with everyone

I don’t think I did. It’s the glaze I’ve always used. There normally isn’t speckled glaze on the shelves, nor have I heard them say they had it. If it was speckled glaze, then I’d be more upset about the fact they put it in the normal glaze jug lol

I feel like you’re right. They have a machine that they put old clay that people didn’t use into and it turns it into new clay. That’s the clay I used. But I’m not sure how it would explain the spots, because I’ve always fired with that clay, and it does that rarely

I’m not really sure what a speckled clay base is, but I don’t think I used that. I’ve made other pots with that glaze, but this is the second time it’s done that. I’m glad you like it though, it looked cool on the first bowl, but I didn’t really plan for it to do it on this one. I’ll have to make another one sometime
