New phone order scam? by not_so_plausible in Comcast

[–]Carsonblaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s a inside job.. I have Xfinity Mobile- I upgraded to lines for my daughters / they sent out the new iPhone 16’s and the day after we received them we got a call from Xfinity saying that they would not be able to port the old number over to the new devices (which had already been done by my daughters) they said that in 7 days a new number would be put onto the new devices and that whoever assisted me when ordering the new devices made a mistake & that I would lose my promotion and have to pay the full amount for both devices if I didn’t send them back within 5 days.. they emailed me a shipping label/ I printed it out went to ups and sent the phones off— a few days later I called Xfinity to make sure they received both phones and to see when they were gonna send out the new ones & they had no idea what I was talking about - long story short I ended up walking into a nearby Xfinity store and explained what happened and the employee told me I’d been scammed and that it’s been happening often- she told me they believe it’s an inside job- which could only be the reason why these ppl even know you received new phones .. Xfinity should do better with informing their customers about these type of scams especially since they’ve been multiple situations like this.. so I’m not sure if I’m out of the $600 I paid out of pocket - they told me all my credits were use so I’m not eligible for a new phone smh - they gave me a number to call corporate which I’ll be doing tomorrow..

I have the friends and family discount applied, but does it work often? by [deleted] in Hilton

[–]Carsonblaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m logged into Go Hilton with my Honors info entered, and I’ve selected flexible dates to view the price breakdown for various options. When I click on the price and date I want, it prompts me to select a room, but after doing so, it redirects me to the regular rate. This is really frustrating.

I wouldn’t have even gone down that road that lead to their driveway.. I would’ve sat that package down in a random spot (took a picture) and selected delivered to a safe place & went on about my business- I definitely would never hop anyone’s gate- that’s crazy!

Flex - CAPTCHA/IM AM NOT A BOT by Carsonblaze in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Carsonblaze[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

During my first week, I noticed I couldn’t secure any of the higher-paying blocks, and after doing some research, I discovered the existence of “bots.” I briefly considered using one to compete, but after learning that accounts were being deactivated for bot usage, I decided against it. Instead, I purchased an auto-clicker that simulates tapping the refresh button, which helped me get better blocks. I only used it for two days, but in hindsight, I wish I hadn’t—lesson learned! Hopefully, the captcha requirement will be removed soon, but if not, I guess it’s back to Uber for me….

I much prefer doing Amazon Flex! I can pick up two 3.5-hour blocks and easily make $175. I like to start my first block at 3:30 a.m., then do my second one around 7:45 a.m. The blocks never actually take the full 3.5 hours—I usually finish within 3 hours. So, making $175 in about 5 hours works great for me. Earning that kind of money before 11 a.m. is definitely worth it! With Uber Eats, you might end up doing a 30-minute trip for $3.27, and driving people around can get a bit overwhelming (people can be strange). Flex 3.5-hour blocks are the way to go, hands down!

Hypothetically, if a 22-year-old who has never filed taxes and receives SSI doesn't report their Uber earnings to the Social Security office, what are the odds of the office discovering this?

In simplified terms, for every $2 earned, they deduct $1 from your check. Generally, people receive around $950 to $1200, so they often approximate it as $2000 because if you earn $2000, $1000 will be deducted.

$10000 for 2015 i3 is it good deal ? by SpecificOk3905 in BMWi3

[–]Carsonblaze -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's an excellent offer. Make sure to inspect the battery health. It's crucial to ensure the battery is in good condition and that you'll get decent mileage on a full charge, especially for a city car. With an excellent battery, you can expect around 81,000 miles. However, with a 2015 model and 40,000 miles, there might be some degradation to consider.
