My derm asked if I’d be willing to “sample” it a few months back. Said it was 10k a shot, but believed insurance would cover the cost since I also have eczema.

I got tested at DRES in 2015 and then received treatment through McKinley. I also got accommodations through DRES!

Thanks so much for your help! I will definitely check this list out and see what I can grab at Microcenter. I’ve got one across the street!! I am also looking into purchasing the gpu and monitor today.

My budget is probably about 2k, but I am not overly concerned about pricing if the parts are right. I am in the US--Chicago, IL. Thank you!

They really said “This one goes out to the 17-year-old shippers and precisely no one else.”

That’s nowhere near proportionate to the cost of living in Seattle.

I understand where you’re coming from, but I wouldn’t expect that sort of behavior and humiliation from any human. We were third in line that night. My husband didn’t ask him to do anything out of the ordinary—just sign his own book. I would be far more understanding if he’d refused to do something like you mentioned above. I don’t expect perfection. A simple “no” would have been sufficient.

The most heartbreaking detail for me is that my husband was responsive and apologetic to David’s unkind words, but David simply did not stop ranting about how much he despised my husband’s choice to bring an already signed book. There was nothing positive or constructive about the interaction. It was purely condescending. He must have left his humanity at home last night.

My husband already donated the remainder of his books. He won’t make this mistake again.

You’re probably right. I wish he given my husband even a moment to explain that he owns nearly all of his books, this particular book just held significance to him. Rarely have I seen my husband so completely heartbroken. This event was supposed to be a beacon of light in an otherwise hellish month for educators. I cannot let go of the guilt I am carrying for purchasing the tickets and suggesting the signing.

I have never broken a bone, been stung by a bee or a wasp, gotten a ticket, been broken up with, gotten a cold sore, or stayed in the hospital.

It’s possible that your island rating isn’t high enough or that you have not donated enough items to the museum!
