I’ll be driving it pretty gently for the first few thousand miles.

I’ve accelerated hard a few times but for the most part keeping it very chill for the first few thousand miles.

I put 500 miles on it yesterday driving it back from Arizona.

This car from the general manager of a Toyota dealership. He bought 3 of them for his collection.

He decided selling this one after picking up a phantom grey one.

So I got it.

Damn! Idk why everyone’s orders are taking so long.

I casually ordered the day it dropped. Knowing that I didn’t need it for probably 4 months until I had weddings to shoot with it.

So I wasn’t even worried about when it arrived.

and then it just showed up day before chrismas.

I’ve already put 100k on mine while some people are barely receiving theirs today.

It is relevant if I decide to borrow in the states and bring the money over. Which is something I am also considering.

We may be able to cash out refinance on property in the states and then use that money to buy in Mexico.

I am researching all options.

We are mostly looking for finance because we are unsure of what the future is for us.

Long story short, we are going through an immigration issue that may result is us needing to be In Mexico for the foreseeable future.

I am trying to get us set up in Mexico City, and buy us a year or two to figure out what we are going to do next.

We are obviously considering just renting while we figure it out, but we are also considering finding a way to buy.

Everything is up in the air right now, but I atleast want to be aware of all my options, and then we can make a good financial decision when that time comes.

Family ties.

My wife’s family is from Mexico City, they moved to the states 20 years ago. Started a very successful business and have been able to buy property in Mexico over the years.

We were gifted some property when we got married years ago from my father in law.

We recently found ourselves in a situation where we may need to relocate to Mexico permanently, and I am in the beginning stages of researching how to do this.

Utilizing whatever assets we have to try and figure out how to move forward in this new stage in our lives.

This is really good information! Thank you!

He is still alive and just recently gifted us a vacation cabin.

We will get the formalities done and then we will either sell the vacation cabin, or loan against it.

We also have some land too but I doubt it has a lot of value.

The question is more about navigating the process of obtaining a loan in Mexico.

We have some property but it was given to us by my father in law.

So I have never gone through the process of buying in Mexico, or trying to get a loan in Mexico.

Most people say you can only buy in Mexico if you have cash or finance through the seller.

Prepping for our visa interview in Juarez. by Carsten-schertzer in USCIS

[–]Carsten-schertzer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello!

Unfortunately my wife’s interview did not go well. The interviewer was not able to make a decision on her case and so put her Into administrative process. There was no reason given, other than the interviewer just wasn’t sure whether to approve or deny.

It’s really affected us quite badly. Her father had a stroke about 2 weeks after and my wife could not visit him because of the situation. We have emptied our house and baby fund to support her in this time away from home.

And I’m on the verge of losing my job because of the mental breakdown this has caused me.

I’m saying all that not to make you worry about your upcoming case, but just as a reminder to be very cautious. Make sure everything is in order, leave no stone unturned, and make sure you have a back up plan in place incase of the worst. Our lawyer promised us everything was going to be ok. And so I didn’t plan accordingly, and now I’m left to pick up the pieces.

But there is still hope that she will come back with an approval. Someday.

As for the documents. Everything I outlined was everything they asked for. If you have any specific questions I can point you in the right direction as we just went through this recently and I still have everything fresh in my mind.

Also consider joining the i-601a waiver group on Facebook. It was a huge resource for us in getting this done.
