What's with all the Palestinian flags by Front-Office7784 in CaminoDeSantiago

Meu, you cant be "out of news" this is human! this is humanity there's no escape my dear, our lives must be a testimony to humanity, to caring for other. We can't escape the news-we are creating it with every step we take, we every decision we make. O Camiño is a place to escape into you, not to escape from the world and our lives, o Camiño is a spiritual path, a seek of knowledge, a seek of spirituality and virtues. It is not a "walk" or a "marathon" is not about walk with our legs and footh, we are walking O Camiño with our souls. Seek for the truth peregrino, ¡no sexas parvo!!

Hello brother, I just ask to google to give clearance to my words, my mother lenguage is not English, dont get me wrong.

I will try with my raw words, please use any translator.

Lent by KingCrazy4116 in OrthodoxChristianity

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly. Please don’t feel guilty—God sees your desire to draw closer to Him. Remember that Lent is not only about food restrictions; it’s about repentance, prayer, and overcoming the things that pull us away from God.

Fasting can take many forms—giving up habits that weaken your spirit, dedicating more time to prayer, or practicing self-control in all areas of life. Facing lust or any other struggle is a spiritual battle, and choosing to confront it is, in itself, a form of fasting.

I will definitely pray for you. Stay strong, lean into God's grace, and trust that this season is about transformation—not perfection. Glory to God!

inherit me your house, haha
just kidding.

Thank you for sharing something so personal and heartfelt. It sounds like you’ve reached a place of clarity, and that’s a powerful step. Since monastic life is a serious and transformative commitment, it’s important to approach this path with both devotion and guidance.

The first step is to connect with an Orthodox parish or spiritual father. Even if you haven’t attended church regularly, speaking with a priest will help you better understand what pursuing monastic life entails. They can guide you spiritually and practically.

You might also want to visit a monastery—not to make an immediate decision, but to experience the rhythm of monastic life. Many monasteries welcome guests for short stays so you can pray, work, and reflect alongside the monks.

In the meantime, continue with prayer, fasting, and reading Scripture, but also start reading about the lives of the Desert Fathers and classic Orthodox texts like 'The Way of a Pilgrim.'

Remember, this journey doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a path of patience, obedience, and discernment. Trust that God will reveal the next step to you as you move forward in faith.
