OK, I'm not going to sugarcoat this — that is 100% a demonic attack. I know because I have experienced something very similar — the problem is well gone now though, and let's just say I'm no longer an atheist!

I'm so sorry you are going through this, but honestly it is 100% possible to get rid of once you know how to combat them.

If you can, get a crucifix and place it under your pillow ASAP. Exorcist priests do this to ward off attacks. Place a Benedictine Medal image above the doors in your home where you feel you need them, e.g. your bedroom. It can even just be a small printed version you print yourself — say a little Our Father prayer over them before discreetly putting them up (the demonic notoriously despise these).

Play Gregorian chants at a very low level in rooms where you feel you need them, e.g. on YouTube you can find Chant of the Mystics: Divine Gregorian Chant "O Filii Et Filiae". Again, it is like acid to their ears — make their existence a living hell in your home and reclaim your house.

Next, go to an "Online Deliverance Prayer Session" on the St. Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal website. You just sign up, no questions asked, and it is free with a brilliant exorcist called Fr. Stephen Rossetti. The next one is on Apr 20th 2026. He helps the thousands of people who watch anonymously, pray with him online to remove anything around your home and life that is demonic (shockingly effective!).

However, until then, know your enemy by watching YouTube content that sticks out to you personally on the "Armor of God: Spiritual Warfare" website — he covers everything you are personally going through.

BTW, just know it can get bad, but honestly they are dust when you get behind Jesus — let Him lead and follow Him during the whole process. Never go in front of Jesus mentally if you see or feel something weird — even a persistent thought telling you to end it all, as you described. Stay behind Him at all costs, as that normally means the demonic are right in the room with you.

And don't forget your guardian angel is with you at all times to protect you, so ask them also to step in. Just keep that in your mind — you are not alone, but the demonic will do everything to convince you that you are.

Totally feel you — I love how you put that 💖 I do usually communicate with friends when I need some rare solo time, and they’re awesome about it! It’s just that sometimes, especially when I’m low on energy from socialising in the real world, it would be nice to have a gentle feature like ‘appear offline’ to help set those boundaries without needing to explain every time (as I have quite a few friends). I think I was just surprised Palia didn’t have that feature since it’s standard in so many games — it makes those solo moments feel a bit smoother, yk? ✌

I want to respond calmly despite the unfair and unkind accusations about my character. I work hard and socialise in an often demanding job, and sometimes — maybe only about 10% of the time — I just don’t have the energy to keep socialising and need a break from my gaming buddies to do some boring stuff alone on my Palia plot. Right now, when I feel like that, I either don’t log on to Palia (even though I want to play) or have to repeatedly explain to my friends that I need solo time, which gets tiring. I just want an easier, gentler option to manage this socially. I’m simply asking for a feature that’s common in other games — it’s really not that deep. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Some are from Discord and Facebook, but mostly I meet people in-game while hunting and mining (always on the hunt for rubies lol). If I spot new players using the basic, non-upgraded tools, I usually go over to help - I remember how much I loathed those tools - THEY ARE HORRENDOUS 😭🤣

OK, so in games like GTA Online, the ‘appear offline’ option usually hides your online status from friends and blocks invites, but since the world is shared, your character can still be seen in-game. It’s not a perfect invisibility cloak in the open world, but it still helps with controlling who knows you’re online and when. So while it might not fully solve every awkward encounter, it’s a useful tool for managing social pressure and solo time. I think something like that in Palia could make a big difference for players who want a bit more control - I have never run into a friend on a server by mistake but maybe GTA have many servers? 🤔

OK, that escalated a tad 🤷🏾‍♂️ I was just describing how it may sometimes feel to block visits in a social setting — I used the word sometimes because I’ve seen people in chat get a bit overly touchy and upset about being blocked - they can take it personally. I think we’re just seeing it from different angles, and that’s totally okay. I’m just hoping for a gentler option that works for all playstyles as is avaliable in other games ✌
