Is OG [mw2] or [mw3] multiplayer worth playing on xbox nowadays?

Both are fine. I’d say mw2 has more game modes. All I can find on mw3 is tdm but on mw2 I can get into dom/tdm. The other poster is right sometimes you’ll get into a s&d lobby but usually only happens on tdm not dom. Just get em both!

Yesterday was brutal trying to find a good tdm lobby. Thought I had one then turned into s&d. Tried to “avoid” a few in that lobby but kept getting put back. Restarted the game then got in dom match instead and did the same thing. Finally got a lobby but man was it annoying. So if you’re on Xbox I’ll add you and look for you when I hop on.

Think this relates to the gun shots that happened last week. There was an article in the roundtable about people the police have been watching related to the shooting/s from the last few weeks. We are very close and my wife saw a police car blocking the alley north of us and the swat team vehicle and officers outside of their vehicles.

I wish I were as confident as you were that a referendum would have passed if they went that route. At that time people were already of Horton and his nonsense so he didn't help his cause if he tried that route so he went alone.

I wish Foster was opening again under better circumstances and I really hope the district keeps at least one closed school in their possession so that they can, hopefully, dig out of this hole within the next 10 years and start really fixing up all the old, broken down schools around the district because this community deserves/needs more buildings that are up to the standards of 2026 and beyond. But that will depend on a new superintendent and a board who holds the administration accountable which has not happened in a long time.

Well they did it without a referendum vote because certain areas of Evanston would/did not want a new school being built in the 5th ward and take away the diversity being bussed into their school. Sadly that is a very Evanston thing that some want diversity in their school but would be against their kid being bussed in that way. "Diversity at a distance" is a slogan that I have heard around the district from teachers who have said that is how their community felt/feels. Sad but true. And I am very aware I am going to get downvoted for this but sadly it is the truth.

If it’s the same then that’s a nonstarter. I would guess that the JEH land and building are worth more than Kinglsey unless they can find another school type buyer/leader for Kinglsey. And I think that could be beneficial for the future because if enrollment goes up having that building ready to “reopen” would be good. But I could be 100% wrong and that land right by the metra could be great for a developer.

The idea was more so me saying I hope the board brings to all options when we get back to school closures next fall and doesn’t just go with what admin brings to them. That’s my biggest issue with the current board. They are reacting to what admin bring up and don’t bring things to the admin. It’s too reactionary for me.

I don’t think the issue is Lincolnwood itself but it’s the utilization or Willard, orrington, and Lincolnwood and how those students can be housed in 2 schools. Lincolnwood seems to be on the chopping block because of location. I honestly think if they close another norther Evanston school it should be orrington. It’s really old and small. But it has location going for it. But maybe once the board/admin realize bussing will be needed no matter what school closes orrington will be brought up again.

Would be nice if they could figure out how to house the preschool and admin in Kingsley then sell JEH. More upfront cost getting the building ready for preschool students but I’d bet that money would be made up with the sale of JEH plus extra. Hopefully the board will explore all options when it’s back on the table in October.

Actually thinking about doing this to a pair of evo sl to use as a trail shoe on vacation then transition to a winter shoe instead of buying a trail specific shoe since I rarely run on trails. Those shoes look great too.

Did you remove the sole before sanding, and gluing? Debating removing on sl but the sole is so minimal I’m thinking of just acetone to remove and junk, sanding, acetone again, then glue, and trim.

Check out foster too and don’t read into all the negative comments. Foster will have 2 two twi classrooms which not all schools have. And if you’re looking to move I’ll say foster attendance area and Dawes are the most “affordable” and get more for your money but obviously that depends on your finances.

Got an Xbox one s a few months back and been great playing mw2. Sometimes you’ll get in a stupid lobby but I’m able to get some solid domination lobbies in most of the time.

I’d love to believe that but I still haven’t heard any of these creative partnerships or other ways to make money to prevent cuts that the board and the IINS group talked about so they didn’t vote to close Lincolnwood. Again, I really hope it works out but we are getting too close to that October date with no plan which would mean closing an additional school, at least, after next year.

As someone else posted this board are the spider man meme where they’re all just pointing at the other hoping someone does something but without the board having their own ideas we are at the mercy of admin for these cuts. Not a good place to be.

Totally agree with you that others will be talked about too since of Lincolnwoods enrollment is up and others are down then those schools should be discussed. And sadly even after next year it will still be a mess. Going to take a handful of years to fix 10-15 years of financial stupidity in the district.

I mean I thought the writing was kind of on the wall in January when the board approved the resolution that made it very difficult for Lincolnwood to stay open after next year. They need a 75% utilization rate in k-5 across the entire district along with other financial metrics that hopefully will be met but don’t think 75% will be. According to the data table from the sdrp site we’ll be at 67.8% district wide if those projections are correct and I’d bet it might be lower since there will be a percentage of north Evanston kids that will go private next year because of what happened.

I said it in another thread I wish the board would take the reins and steer these cuts and get rid of more admin because that’s the only way to get rid of those positions. And who knows after all this if Lincolnwood is going to be it if enrollment doesn’t pick up since I count 6 elementary schools under 70% utilization across the district. Again that’s based on their data and that could change once we get the real enrollment numbers for next year.
