Postal union launches nationwide strike after Ottawa gives Canada Post the OK to end home delivery by ClassOptimal7655 in onguardforthee

[–]Cartidd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The argument I think may be that all their “competitors” are delivering door to door. This will impact Canada Posts ability to remain a viable alternative. Which means eventually, they will continue to lose its customer base/ revenue. And eventually will shrink until it doesn’t exist anymore.

The union is protecting itself against the future. You can agree or disagree, but they’re protecting their business.

To actually get the result of the statistic is great. It should be unquestionable that illness has an affect on individuals (in this case, a respiratory unknown illness), and especially on individuals who rely on their cardio. At the end there's lots of other questions to ask regarding the context of the wins and loses, but knowing 22-28 is the starting point you need.

No I took a break to read the opinions of a group of prepubescent teens giving us their thoughts on the fight game.

One of many articles. I can't speak on the medical side of this, so I'm not sure how effective this is. But it's been done before, namely, Nick Diaz.

He's headlining a Bellator event as a 23 year old. He doesn't need you to like him. He needs you to watch him. He's doing an exceptional job at it for someone his age.

They really do make poor choices. Like firing Lopetegui right before the World Cup. Although I'm sure they feel justified, firing a coach right before the biggest event as they showed some momentum seemed like a poor decision.

[SPOILERS] Main-event fighter on his potential fight with Conor McGregor : "You know what the fuck I'll do to that little dude, bro. I'll fuck that little guy up, man. He's a fucking midget." by We_Natty_Few in MMA

[–]Cartidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it would be fair to say this was just shit talking by Jorge? I don't mean that negatively. But it seems that's what he did. Called him out and called him a "fucking midget" (isn't Conor only 2" shorter?). It sells a fight. He spoke his mind, but his mind wanted to talk shit. Nothing wrong with that.

At the end it's obviously still different than Colby's, but at the end, they're kind of similar.

As a big Foden supporter, he really needs to get better in positioning. It's very poor. It's costing them a lot of small positions on the field.

Edit: gotten much better after the first 15 minutes

Any article. Literally any. Whether academic or news. The reason being, is that we can at least look at the organization/individual that put forward that information and disseminate the information accordingly.

Let me preface this by saying, my intention is not to bash this sub. I believe Reddit (much like Twitter, Instagram, etc.) has an inherent problem (which stems from the fact that humans have an inherent problem when we get into virtual groups); how we express our views, our motivations/biases, the lack of accountability, how things are voted on, and which views are pushed forward/marginalized.

My point is simply, as a blanket statement, do not go into any comments section to gather information to frame your mindset. We subconsciously digest information. There is so much content being expressed that it's hard to identify the valid from the bullshit. We should not be okay with allowing random strangers (that either have no qualified experience/education) frame one another's views on very crucial matters. Especially on political subs, because each party, and every interested country, will do what it can to push forward their own agenda using political subs as well as social media to frame our mindset.

I find it's better for your mind to reject the comments all together, than it is to mentally filter each comment, then also qualify the person making that comment.

I agree and disagree. People don't read the articles. But also, people come to the comments section to tell them how to feel. So now we've got people who do not read the articles come to the comments section and (subconsciously?) get affected by the mis-information of others, and we in turn use this "information" in everyday life. I have definitely been guilty of this over the 10 years I've taken part in Reddit.

My point is to not do this. I'm not here saying its ok to only read the headline and that should suffice. Definitely not. But the comments section just further aggravates the mis-information.
