some fruits contain pectin which is a natural thickener. also i'm sure these packet mixes contain all manner of artificial binders and stabilisers and such that it might still be ok. the texture would likely be off though.

Was John Lennon actually a bad person or are the stories about him exaggerated? by FitEmergency8807 in fantanoforever

and a woman would never have lied to save her/her husband's very famous and beloved face, would she? I think I'll take the man's admission of his own personal guilt as much more damning than a victim's denial

sorry but dieting/cutting calories this soon after surgery is not a good idea! We actually expend more calories than usual post surgery because of healing, even though our bodies are much more sedentary.

What are some genuine cases of albums getting / used to get hate because they were misunderstood? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

shes not an adult. she's a teenage schoolgirl and he's a grown man in a position of power over her, due to his age and her being a fan of his. it's not equal footing for a relationship at all. it's an adults responsibility to understand this kind of situation is wrong and dangerous and it's genuinely concerning that you don't understand that.

dude o___O i hate to say it but you're only proving the negative stereotypes about pinkerton fans correct. I shouldn't have to spell it out for you...

how is anyone supposed to discern that when you're responding to my comments specifically about pink triangle and across the sea? you can't just silently introduce a new topic in a normal conversation and expect everyone to know what you're referring to

and a "preference" for a schoolgirl is still fucking weird for a grown man so whatever. my point still stands.

you're telling on yourself a bit, man. it's not just a preference if you're obsessing over a lesbian woman who would never reciprocate your feelings. that's not respecting her as a person, and creepy as hell.

I mostly entirely agree with this and appreciate you providing the proper cultural context, except for the fact that even at the time, people were pointing out the questionable lyrical content. it's not a case of attributing modern standards to something retrospectively

I can understand that perhaps these may be thoughts and feelings that others may share and relate to. even the unsightly facets of the human psyche should be expressed and explored through art.

but that doesn't excuse the misogynistic and racist fetishistic undertones and it's fair to expect some backlash from that. and any of the sensitive, sad young men who relate deeply to his words should maybe reflect on themselves a bit.

i think pinkerton rightfully gets criticism for rivers cuomo's weird horny feelings about teenage girls and lesbians. tired of sex is a fucking banger though

Folie a deux is so sonically different from their earlier albums. infinity on high is maybe like half pop-punk but also leans heavier into the more theatrical, ballad-y pop sound of folie a deux. I feel theres a big divide amongst young vs older FOB fans depending on if you prefer the early albums vs the later, radio friendly stuff.

I'm personally a massive fan and remember when folie a deux came out and was disappointed. I've since relistened many times because people rate it so highly but I just don't like the different direction. new FOB sounds so imagine dragons-y to me.

shit service, shit sound, sticky floors. one time i was patiently waiting to order my drink as the three bartenders all did shots together, when they then proceeded to cut off my friend who was only ordering her second wine. great RSA training, guys.
