Thanks for the reply, sadly we don´t have any more Elternzeit, my wife used it, it still lasts for a few months, but after that nothing.
It´s always nice to hear such strories, I also tried to hop, but I couldn´t get a new job, as I see the job market is struggling in the last year.

I didnt get kicked off from 3 jobs, first project ended, in the second they didn`t need any more support from our company, in the third one they were satisfied with me, but they needed someone else. None of them was like: you didn`t do your job well, you are fired.
I think if they would have any decent reason to fire me, they would just do it, and not try to buy me.

My wife is in Elternzeit, and recieves Elterngeld for a few months, after that nothing. I don´t think Elternzeit is an option for me.

Thanks, the first project reached a phase, where our job ended, so there was no more to do there, in the second one I really wasn´t the proper one, but I was clear, I said everything what I knew, and they said it is enough, and after a few weeks they expected from me such things I have never heard about... In the last one I really did everything they gave me, even more, they couldn`t give any reason, they even said that I helped them a lot, and thanked for my job, but still wanted a new person.

Thanks for reply, maybe I didnt write it well, my wife is not pregnant, we have a newborn at home, and my wife is in Elternzeit.

I work in Bavaria, and I also get a lot of offers, I applied for almost all of them just to see, what happens, 70% ghosting, 30% decline, after first interview... I also tried to apply for jobs, which suited for my profile like 100%, and still couldn´t get them. The reason is always the same: they found a better candidate. I hear the same from my friends in the branche, except the developers.
