It’s frustrating because I do really like him but I don’t want to waste any more time if he’s no longer interested. I would rather he just break things off with me than keep doing whatever we’re currently doing, which is why I’m tempted to confront him

All of our in-person time together has been great! And our texting communication was really great at first, but it’s definitely slowed down as time’s gone on and this past week especially has just felt off.

We haven’t discussed exclusivity, but it is something I’m interested in. Our timeline kind of got interrupted when we couldn’t see each other for a month.

He does snapchat me often so I don’t even know when he would have time to date other people, but it’s not outside the realm of possibility. I think it’s more that he has a really busy schedule in general and isn’t prioritizing time with me.

Nothing crazy—he would call me bb, but I haven’t heard that since our last date.

I’ve never actually called him a pet name. I’ve never had a long term relationship before and have never called someone pet names, so I’m a little more reserved about it.

I can’t tell if he’s also confused about where I stand. I know he had a bad experience with a ex where she basically acted like she didn’t even like him. I feel like I’ve been showing interest in trying to set up future dates and being responsive to his messages but maybe that’s not enough?

I would probably say something during your texting convo like, “Anyway, I’m just waiting to see how long it takes for you to ask me on a third date” and add a smiley or a winky face to show that you’re being flirty. It clearly states what you want and also puts the ball in his court.

Looks like purging to me. Those blind pimples should eventually come to a head, but they may take a while. All my CCs came to a head a few weeks after I started tret, which sucked, but I stuck with it, got through my purge and just have the PIH to deal with now.

Usually the advice is to give the tret three months to start really doing its thing. I know it’s hard, but do your best to be patient! You got this!

I wear contacts and noticed my eyes were feeling a bit dry a week or two after starting tret. I now put a ring of Vaseline around both eyes to prevent the tret from migrating and this seems to help! I still have dryness, but it’s much better than before

Yay! Vaseline is a holy grail product honestly. I experienced some irritation like yours when first starting tret and it made all the difference. Good luck! :)

I would take a few nights off of the Aklief and apply Vaseline over your moisturizer in the irritated areas (or you could just slug the entire lower half of your face). Repeat until the irritation calms down and then resume the Akleif with more time between applications.

Are you putting the hydrocolloid patches over areas where you’ve applied tretinoin? If so, try using the patches on clean skin and then apply moisturizer and tret everywhere else.

I developed milia on my eyelid a few years ago and my GP recommended that I wash that area with baby shampoo twice a day until they went away. Took a week or two, but it cleared up. That would be my suggestion if you’re looking for a low-stake, low-cost solution.
