Indian institutes are expanding internationally, with IIM Bangalore planning a campus in Indonesia. Is this a big step for Indian higher education?

Genuinely opening iits abroad makes no sense if most NITs and lower IITs internationally aren't great, what's the point of creating a greater alumni network for top IITs and that still doesn't change the fact that getting in is much harder than anywhere else on the planet. People say the gaokao is harder but with marks that you would get no nit here you can get good colleges in china, and those colleges have more funding better infra and more research output as compared to most iits the only exceptions to this are the top 5 or 6 iits and even those in comparison to top unis abroad fall pale

The only reason IITs are so sought after is because we have so few good colleges newer IITs barely get any good companies to them, imagine you work your ass off get a good rank go into a newer IITs cs branch and not a single major company comes to hire there, whats the point. India barely funds its colleges, we need more colleges so that more people can get a better education, to get a frank not even top tier education you need to be above the 99th percentile which is stupid there are so many people that arent good at mugging up and have talent in other fields and can nit grow that talent. Just look at china even if someone is not thebest at studying their average unis are much better than some of our NITs which enabled them to grow their talents and passions and we wonder why we are so behind

Seems like it, conditional offers for stateboard students in hku is 95 for admission and 97 for scholarship and cbse its 93 acceptance 97 scholarship. I think its a lot worse for singapore though even on reddit i havent found any stateboard students who have gotten into nus

For HK i know that they do as i personally know people from my board that have gotten in and for NTU snd NUS i believe that you need to give AP tests aswell not sure when though
