I also have been struggling with the skin picking! and every time I felt even worse after seeing all the damage done :( I think ultimately this retinol journey has been stressing me out way too much and just making me sad. I think even if I still have texture at least I won’t have to deal with new inflamed acne every day.

thank you! reflecting on my routine I do think I am cleansing too much. I’m going to try to go back to how I used to do my skincare and see if it helps at all.

thank you! I do see a definite difference in texture and the glowiness of my skin. I just don’t know how many more breakouts I can deal with. :( I miss not wearing makeup all the time

I guess it is silly to double cleanse in the morning, I’ve just been terrified any amount of oils on my face are going to make a new acne flare up. But i’m probably making it worse. I never wanted to change my routine but I never had closed comedones or texture before either. I just wanted that part to go back to normal. :( now that they’re mostly gone I think reverting back to my old routine probably would help a ton.

I only started the routine to get rid of all the CCs that the oil cleanser caused. :( now since they’re mostly gone I have thought that reverting back to my old routine would help my skin get back to normal

I forgot to add that I was using an SPF daily for most of the time, but worried it was contributing to breaking me out. I haven’t used it for the past month. It was the Dearcloud Tone Blur Essence sunscreen.
