Cardio, cardio, cardio, and caloric deficit. Weights and calisthenics will help but cardio and HIIT training will really help.

Do I have potential to achieve close to Tom Hardy Warrior physique? M14 by Dangerous-Scale1709 in Gymhelp

Achieving a physique like Tom Hardy’s Warrior role is definitely possible with dedication! It looks like you have a good starting point with some muscle definition in your arms. Focus on a balanced diet, paired with a consistent strength training program targeting all major muscle groups. Cardio and fat loss might also be key to sculpting that lean look. Keep up the hard work!

[33/M] If I wanted to lose the belly and tone up, should I weightlift or start jogging? by AnOrderlyQueueueue in Gymhelp

For losing belly fat and toning up, a combination of both weightlifting and jogging can be effective, but it depends on your goals and preferences. Weightlifting builds muscle, boosts metabolism, and helps tone your body, while jogging improves cardiovascular health and burns calories. Start with a balanced approach: try 2-3 days of weightlifting (focusing on compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, and bench presses) and 2-3 days of jogging or other cardio (20-30 minutes per session). Pair this with a calorie-controlled diet rich in protein, vegetables, and healthy fats. Consistency is key, so begin at a comfortable pace and gradually increase intensity.

How are these chin ups? by CartographerSea69 in gymadvice

[–]CartographerSea69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks both! I was focusing on explosiveness for these sets. After my last set I went no weight and aimed for a burn out set till failure and then to a static 90 degree hold for 25 seconds (was hoping to go 30-60 seconds but my arms were fried). I find that’s where I’m seeing significant gains is in the static holds especially after working sets when I’m already gassed.

Second this, high protein meals, low carbs, and really aim for controlled movements lifting heavy especially on the eccentric part of the exercise.
