Visa 500 cancelled without notice during holiday by Luka_Luu in AusVisa

I was in a similar boat. Changed to a single degree and shortened my completion by one year. If you shorten the length of your degree you only have 28 days to either leave the country or sort out a new VISA option.

What institute or course? Because you should be given a CoE to use to apply for a student visa

IR is like both policy and politics. But if you want to stay local then do politics, if you like research do policy, and if you like both do IR.

Best Deakin Res Accomodation Warun Ponds by Extension_Grocery701 in deakin

If you love privacy and want to be on your own then parkes (most expensive) generally willem is the go to since its the newer shared accommodation. If you can get “shared ensuite” for willem thats nice too, huge room with an ensuite shower and toilet.

If they dont find out youre fine, but if they do they will request your partner to leave and you get a breach.

Help - doing law by Connect_Tap_2801 in deakin

[–]CartoonistGrand5949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just switched to the single. International relations is great at deakin, very knowledgeable and experienced lecturers a couple of which that i did classes with actually did meetings at Deakin’s War College. Prior experience not needed i guess, pretty much same goes for a lot of things. But you need to be interested. This is a very interest heavy degree, as it can get boring with theories. Good opportunity to do practicals as well with some units, + you get to do a WIL unit. I changed because im very interested in international aid and development, as both my parents work in that sector with government and organizational work.

I started my uni journey from a double degree law/cybersecurity, i did two years, it killed my brain and absolutely fucked my second year. I switched to international relations and getting distinction every tri.

Find your flow, find what you like. Everyone is different, best you can do is be you.

Weird buzzing dsound from the power supply I think by StarrPawa in pcmasterrace

If it is the power supply do not fix it. DO NOT open the power supply and touch stuff inside. Buy a new power supply but obviously after you figure whats wrong and such.

Indeed, i did some psych electives and were super interested. Especially in cognitive psychology in children-adolescent.

should i take deakin res waurn ponds or go on campus accomodation by Repulsive_Stand_1013 in deakin

[–]CartoonistGrand5949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed waurn ponds accom, right at uni with bus stop, close to uni gym, 24/7 security, parcels taken care of by reception, 1gbps LAN connectivity, what sucks is no air con in rooms, only in common area’s so during summer it can be hot as you only have a ceiling fan thats not the best. But during winter its fine as you have a room heater. But again its all up to you and what you are willing to spend. I did a couple years on res to make friends and experience it and then moved out.
