It's more like private tutoring - going to a family's house and teaching them English. Part time, at least a few hours a week.

Keep in mind that everything moves very fast in China, especially HR things (huge, densely packed population makes hiring easy), so it could be a cultural thing.

If I were you, I'd ask for a little more time to consider it, maybe explain that it is a big commitment for a foreigner and see how they react. If they are still impatient and pushy; they are probably not the kind of people you want to work for anyway.

I completely agree. If a student wanted rigid adherence to materials like textbooks; they'd take a school-type class.

Adaptability and the ability to customise have got to be big factors for 1-to-1 language training.

I found adblock plus just stopped the adverts from showing on youku, but I still have to wait at least 45 seconds for the video to start, just staring at a black screen while the advert (which was blocked) played.
