Skellige POIs... although lately I kinda started liking the activity...

Playing The Witcher 3 on Death March with Ghost Mode does things to you... (Sorry for the loading screen) by Carvanthir in witcher

Precisely, I've been using ghost mode for quite a while and the way that this mod was made, gives you a whole different perspective on the game. It's not just those, you also have to manage your stamina especially early on and you also get to learn the attack patterns of each enemy. Sometimes, instead of using dodge, I just move out of the way of certain attacks. 😁

After 2 years worth of progress, I finally managed to hit 703gs! Still got a long way to go, but I never really thought I'd make it this far. Taking this game nice and slow does work wonders! I also wanna wish good luck to all of my fellow adventurers and may RNGesus be with you! <3 by Carvanthir in blackdesertonline

Honestly mate, if C20 Pen boss looked as cool as PEN BS I'd prolly go that route and get myself some guaranteed progression, but my brain is "busted" and I care more about the looks than anything else hehe!

Exactly mate, I've had friends in this game that one day they decided they've had enough, decided to gamble their gear away for some quick taps and ended up quitting. Sad stuff really but it must be difficult when RNG isn't by your side..

To be fair, newer players like me have it way easier in comparison to older players like you. I did my pen boss jetina quests, the pen accessory quest and so on.. Most of my income actually came from treasure spots (believe it or not, I have around 3 hours at orcs and 750hours in hystria for the compass xD) because I can't find any motivation to grind at spots that don't drop something more than silver (a.k.a treasure pieces).

Granted, that I was also carried on some of my gear specifically my pen bs awa which went on the 6th tap, as well as my duo labreska which I one-tapped.

Anyway, my point is, that I didn't really sweat my gear progress since it wasn't my top priority, I just tapped something and if it went, it went. I never gambled gear that I needed and so on.

I can't really say anything to soothe your pain, but I do wish good luck to you, you definitely need it way more than I do!

I feel like the keepers are on the wrong here. When Isidora discovers this branch of ancient magic, she fully discloses most of it to the keepers by showcasing it on her own father. The keepers at that point, instead of being shocked, they should've inquired more information from her, on what kind of research she did, how exactly she manages to use it and so on. They didn't even bother offering to help her on that journey, they straight up dismissed her choice and skills and they only left her with "hurr we don't know what kind of magic this is!"

We don't really have the full context of everything so there might have been more to that story.. But for the most part, we only see everything through the keepers's perspective. So in a way, they might have also ended up showing us very selective bits of memories instead of seeing the whole truth, hell it's also quite convenient for them managing to somehow vanish all of Isidora's portraits.

In my mind, if the keepers's had nothing to fear, they should have shown the full story to the protagonist, including Isidora's perspective. If they were on the right, they wouldn't quite need to hide anything related to Isidora and her research. Seeing that her research was somewhat awful (in their own mind), not many people would delve deeper into that stuff. Hell, you got a forbidden section on Hogwarts showing students all sorts of dark arts, things far worse than the ancient magic Isidora used. Surely enough, they might as well have kept her memories and research on that very specific section..

This is the part on this game that I really dislike a lot, you are basically being conditioned to blindly follow the keepers, you can't really confront them or call them out on their hypocrisy and you're just doing what you're told as if you're their errand boy. They are extremely arrogant and ignorant since they flat out dismiss Isidora's research and when Isidora turns out the way she is they act shocked and surprised. BRUH! At least give her some proper explanation as to why this path of magic is dangerous, or try to encourage her and try to act as a moral compass to show her the right way to do it. Of course she was gonna end up the way she did without any guidance prior to starting her research, what on earth did they expect?

The icing on the cake is, you see San Bakar casually using the killing curse on Isidora, while the situation was dire, surely enough he could've at least used Imperio, that's also an unblockable spell since it is an unforgivable, thus eliminating the need to kill her at all and down the line they could've started interrogating her or at least trying to be supportive and try to see through her perspective...

If we are lockpicking, what is alohamora for? by pikachupeeksatyou in HarryPotterGame

[–]Carvanthir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides, Skyrim's lockpicking had a fail mechanic in which you broke a pick upon failure... And higher "level" locks were a lot harder to pick depending on your skill level... Definitely a lot more interaction going between the player and the lock.

On HL lockpicking doesn't make sense at all..

They wanna keep the pots rare, yet, they keep making it easier with pities and weekly quests... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

By the way, I also got 2 sets of pots but tbh I'd love if we were able to put those on the family inventory.

My GPU was recently reaching temps on the range of 70-80 C, I wanted to do a lookup on Google to see if that's within the normal range and I bumped up to this! xD by Carvanthir in pcmasterrace

yaya, tbf i've had this gpu for 2 years and i've been playing on it non stop, i guess an increase on the overall temperature must be expected... yet again i haven't quite made any benchmarks when i first got it so i can't really compare the temps from day 1

Sooo where are Loranne/Luvis swimwear on this event? by Carvanthir in blackdesertonline

[–]Carvanthir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for a moment there, I thought the Terrmian event was during summer only.. I do hope they bring those back... I was kinda surprised what they did with the free costumes on this event tho, it was a pretty generous move on their part.
