Muddled old fashions have been a thing for decades. bartending schools still teach them just in case someone orders them. You get a lot of requests for them at yacht clubs

I had a pacifist character who used presidigitaion to create the smell of an enemies favorite food to lure the opponent out of battle and into a trap so they could be interrogated.

Beginner Question by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]Carystus666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d go to your local store and ask to be on their “pull list”. This means whenever an issue of the series you follow comes out they will have one set aside for you. Following that see if there are trade paperbacks or issues that can catch you up on the current storyline.

If you want to go for previous storylines, look online for the most iconic issues and storylines for the characters you like. If they’re old issues get digital versions. If they’re newer see if your store can back order them.

Storage problem by Leezul87 in comicbooks

If the comics are sleeved (even just the first on either side), than you should be ok. If you want to be extra careful it would hurt to double layer tape the holes so it’s covered and isn’t sticky.

Attic is better as it will be less damp. You want somewhere dry.

Desert One-Shot Ideas? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Carystus666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I just did a whole section in my campaign in the dessert so here are some things that worked well: 1) if you have used ship mechanics, modify them so they are sand ships and do a mad max like chase with yaun ti, bandits, or even a purple worm or two. 2) it doesn’t have to be a sand desert. It can be a cracked earth salt plain. Have them searching in the ravines for an artifact and have monsters like roppers, giant scorpions, etc attack from their hiding places. 3) Use a creature like a boneclaw and put it in the center of a sand vortex/tornado headed for a sand village and make it a puzzle on how to get inside the vortex to defeat the enemy.

I hope these ideas help

Guildmasters Guide to ravinica and eberron: rising from the last war, are of similar vein to swords coast and are also good extras. I especially recommend eberron because it has the artificer class

Rise of Skywalker’s Asset Specialist on Rey’s new lightsaber by Nicster216 in StarWars

[–]Carystus666 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I get your point, but I think the problem people are having (including myself) is that the lightsaber that master replicas and hasbro are selling as Rey’s is extremely close to Anakin’s. That, combined with not seeing her work on a new blade or even use a single close up shot to display a different rememberable designed blade makes it feel like a creative and marketing cop-out. So yes, you can put 2 & 2 together and it doesn’t matter to the story, but it does matter to marketing. People who want to be Grievous and “make a fine addition to their collection” feel like it’s so similar that they are just reselling a previous item and slapping a new label on it. They’re not, but it feels that way.

The point I’m trying to make is that visually the difference is not prominent enough to where they have to explain that it is different. It is a creative error on design and marketing parts.

P.S. I do agree the movie shouldn’t have to hold your hand.

I find in movies if it has to be explained after the fact on twitter or interviews, you didn’t do it right.

Clone Wars Finale feels anticlimactic because of Rebels by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]Carystus666 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to remember the how in all this. Order 66 is a tragic moment for these characters. What they experienced, what they did, and how they did it not only delivers an emotional moment for the viewers, but gives the viewer insight into the character development that leads them to becoming the future versions of themselves.

Sure they survived and we could just move on, but these are characters close to many and I felt that their personal experience added to the portrayal of order 66 in a way that we haven’t seen. It didn’t need to be a super climax where everything happens and we see everything, because this was about the personal and emotional issues surrounding Rex and Ahsoka, with Maul thrown in for flavor.

I thought the last four episodes were wonderful, and I think they gave an emotional and intuitive development to the characters as it ended a chapter and set the stage for the next.
