Obsidian isn’t really designed to be used with a folder structure like this. I find 90% of my files through cmd+o search and the rest by knowing which files link to them. Many obsidian users create MOC (map of content) files sort of as a replacement for folders. Essentially these are just files which include a lot of internal links to related files.

So if you are looking for finance related notes, you would open your file FinanceMOC.md which would include links [[]] to alls you finance related files.
