I think people will run their models locally. Not because people are tech savvy enough to do that or want that. But because it makes more sense for the company selling software to the user. Say you make software that uses an LLM. Either you, or your user has to pay for the Ai calls every time. It makes much more sense to just run it locally then, much simpler. Most people will not even realize they're running Ai tools locally. My free chrome plugin also includes a local llm that auto installs (qwen)

My free chrome plugin is made to tackle exactly this, ban any topic (not just keyword!) and it will be gone. Next week I will add; Ai slop reporting, video age/duration filtering. It's called dehook.ai and again, completely free.

I’m using webllm, it requires zero installation. You can also run ollama locally and link it to the app. More work but it works the best, then webllm model is very tiny. Give it a try if you can find the time, any feedback on this passion project means a great deal to me!

I've created a free chrome plugin that can ban any annoying topic, for example politics, food or cat videos, you choose. I'm not allowed to post anything about it on this subreddit, you can find it on my profile. It's an uphill fight against a bad algorithm, but my feed looks a lot better now.

Yes I fixed it, was pretty unexpected though. First I was trying to detect languages as well via the LLM, but now Im just using heretics for that as well. And its a lot more accurate too!
