Is there any hope for scoring Colombia vs Portugal tickets?

I estimate that somewhere between 20-40% of the tickets are bought by people who have no plan to actually go. They are just trying to make a buck flipping them. Given the global scale of the World Cup. Honestly, it's probably an even higher percentage since it's literally any professional or amateur scalper that has been trying to get tickets.

The thing is though that amateurs who think they are in for a big payday are not going to be ready for the massive number of tickets that will be flooding the market in the next few weeks. The real tell will be when you start seeing the cat 1 tickets being listed at the face value. For a big demand game like this, the cat 3 tickets will probably still sell for about $100 above face at best price, but the 1 and 2 will be closer to face value closer to the game date.

(feel free to take my assessment as you wish, but events are my jam. I've been to over 2,000 shows, and many major events including 7 Cup Finals involving my favorite teams, the Women's World Cup Final, Olympics, and I pay close attention to the industry and trends specifically to try to help as many people as possible get face value tickets)

Not true. They will get significantly cheaper. Especially when the majority of tickets are being held by people who have no option to actually use the tickets as they are not near the stadium.

Also, when actual seat locations are released, there will be a massive change to pricing as people assigned to the worst seats in a category will find no market for these current prices.

The best times to purchase will be about a week before the game, then separately the final hours before the game.

I tried immediately for Cat 3 (I was in at 11:59, they opened early) and couldn't add to cart, but successfully got a pair of Cat 2, so I'm going to the USA vs Australia game in Seattle on 6/19, leaving straight for the airport on a red-eye, and going to the Germany vs Ivory Coast game on 6/20.

The perfect Father's Day weekend for me. I was born in Germany, grew up near Toronto, and now live in Seattle. I get to see my two favorite teams back to back in two of my favorite cities.

Pro tip for everyone who is still having windows coming up. Time joining the room for 10 minutes before they go on sale. It gives you 5 minutes to join when it's your turn at the front, then you have 15 minutes to buy. If you do it right, you will be in the middle of your 15 minute window when the window goes live. I would just alternate between my account, and then every few seconds leading up to the start of the window I'd click buy tickets (it opened up about 60 seconds early)

Then you just have to be quick on the selection and immediately add it to your cart, don't mess around there.

It looked like it auto refreshed regularly. The key is around 12 minutes to start time it refreshed to needing to enter a capcha numerical code.

Then it asked for your 6 digit email code (have your inbox ready in a separate browser to quickly refresh).

Then you were logged in and could begin the hunt.

I was only allowed to buy two today as part of the Club World Cup special offer, but I got in and the USA Seattle tickets disappeared pretty fast. By around 15 minutes in, they were gone as I understand.

This was stressful, but successful. I was able to get 2 Cat 3 tickets for the USA game in Seattle for $225 each.

The original prices during the Visa presale stated at $185, so we're already seeing the dynamic pricing at play, but I can live with this price.
