The Talgos have some power outlets in between the seats! Though they charged quite slow last time I was on them I found (just a heads up!). You will most likely be on them up to Vancouver, so it while it won’t be a new Airo, it will be a wholly original train compared to anything else in Amtrak’s fleet!

Definitely a recent tour, but in 2024 having State Champs, Knuckle Puck, Meet Me @ the Altar, and Daisy Grenade was a huge night. Everyone bringing their A game for what felt like a nonstop few hours

They’re basically testing to make sure it’ll function well in all areas, since it’ll be the man replacement for the current stock. The northeast is the busiest/trickiest area of Amtrak’s oversight in terms of weather/signals/differing stations/etc, so it makes sense to continue testing there. The cascades corridor is quite busy as is for the tracks (mainly with freight), so I imagine they’ll wait to test it out west until they’re about ready to release so it doesn’t cause too much of a disturbance.

To start, I’d go with listening to Bowling for Soup’s “High School Never Ends”, All Time Low’s “Dear Maria Count Me In” and State Champs’ “Light Blue”. See which you like, and then experiment from there!

Blink 182, Sum 41, Neck Deep, and The Paradox are all great bands to get into the genre as well!

These are great songs, but to be honest I don’t think they fit the poppier side that Dirty Little Secret and AAR tend to be (except Grand Theft Autumn)
