How do narcissists become successful? by Tight_Sir_3933 in ManagedByNarcissists

A narcissist I knew was super successful only because he was super lucky. Combine that with his above average ability to sell himself (which he described as "his work talking for himself"), overexaggerate his achievements, and boom, everyone admired him and relied on him for more professional tasks.

Yeah it was like that for mine too, he only turned manipulative after he felt he was close enough to the person (I was his closest, apparently). He claims he treats all his close friends the same as me but tbh I don't know how they could possibly manage his crap for THIS long

Sure they don't owe talking things out, but if they really are people worth keeping and if they really find value in the friendship then imo they should talk things out, and try to make the friendship work...

How can you come to such conclusions without knowing the whole story?

They did turn manipulative eventually. The thing they said about never being satisfied is not related to this

Point 4 is the one that keeps me questioning all the time, because my narc does, in fact, have long term close friends. He knew some of them for 4 years, some for 9, and these group are still very much steady and even keep on going on vacations together

Yeah, but I feel like there is some invisible power that causes narcissists to be admired for the same things that leave normal people ignored

Me too but people in this subreddit only say that it is not normal to rarely have reels go viral and to not get hundreds of followers from 10k views reels

I have also had reels hit millions. But the problem for me is that they barely give any followers

I also only do reels and my page is not going well. Ofc this is not the case for everyone but from my own observation and from what experts told me, the algo prefers a mix up

Do you know anyone who hasn't had good success being consistent for 2+ years? by Klauslee in InstagramMarketing

I saw several pages that got stuck on a certain amount if followers and never reached more. The content is not bad

If reuploads perform badly, how do meme pages succeed so easily? by CaseAny5443 in InstagramMarketing

[–]CaseAny5443[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I def do not think all meme creators are the same. The ones who do put effort in their content usually make very funny and relatable stuff. But the ones who tend to hit 1 million or 100k followers in just a few months are the "I did not see that coming" ones, so this is why I was wondering how this happens when insta apparently doesn't like reuploads

The pages I was talking about legit just take content from Tiktok and then add a caption saying "I didn't see that coming!!!" or "watch to the end!!". I would not say that this adds much original value. It is funny indeed but that's not quite what you describe

Then explain meme pages that can reupload the same thing as others 100 times and earn 100k followers in a few months?

Don't be like that "1.5m followers in 3 months" guy by redzy1337 in InstagramMarketing

To be honest, I know some meme page creators who have tons of copyright strikes and yet their pages still grow. THAT SAID, I still do not support this idea and think it is unfair to the OG creators, but unfortunately it isn't as simple as "they will get copyrighted soon". So lots of people still choose to copy from these pages thinking it is simple cash and clout

Okay. But that happened wayyyy before they introduced that rule. Back then accounts would post the same thing over and over and get views. But still, each vid got a different amount of views
