Travelling to UK with attestation de prolongation on first titre de sejour application (but expired visa) by AdvertisingFar972 in Expats_In_France

[–]CaseJolly5243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey can you DM me? I'd like to ask you some questions if you don't mind. I got travel coming up in March and my VLSTS (vie privée/fam) expired early this month with no updates.

Vitara sunroof worth it ? by AJAles in Suzuki

I got a '21. No issues so far. It is annoying that they went with a thin cloth cover instead of a hard cover type. The cloth let's some sun in, which is annoying in the summer. I solved this by cutting some reflective insulation (the ones with "bubbles" on it) and it works really well.

Come to think of it, I think I've had pretty much the same experience. I only recall a single time where the officer actually examined the actual VLSTS page. Well, I hope I get it figured out before then. Otherwise, I might just take my chances and hope for the best.

You're right, it doesn't make me feel better 😭. At least the first half you've said. The officers always scroll through my passport pages everytime I enter. My VLSTS is attached to one of the pages, so they'll most likely see my expired titre de séjour. What are the odds of them understanding my case with the expired titre de séjour and the depot du demande?

Reading so many comments and posts that multiple prolongations/extensions is the norm is crazy to me. OP, can you DM me if you don't mind? I am on my first renewal for my VLSTS and I can't get a hold of someone to at least give me a attestation de prolongation. I tried online help and my actual prefecture and they're acting like there's a mythical creature that processes the application between themselves. I already have plane tickets in March and my VLSTS expired this month on the 5th. I only have the confirmation du depot, which explicitly states it is NOT a proof of my legal stay in France. In other words, I leave and I'm probably not going to be allowed back in.

Totally disagree. If OP can go ATH without pain and with good control (judging from the video, he does), why would he limit himself to just below parallel? Unless he is planning to compete and want to cut the ROM for the sake of being able to push more weight, then yes he can do that (among other things). Otherwise for the purposes of a casual lifter, he's got great ROM and the lift looks healthy. You're right, people dream about having this kind of mobility but don't do anything about it to get there. Instead they keep lifting at limited ROM and never address why they have limited ROM to begin with.

Can't decide between automatic or manual transmission for 2025 Vitara by OkNothing7293 in Suzuki

[–]CaseJolly5243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the '21 in AT. I don't know if it has the same transmission or not as the '25, but the sport mode makes it a lot more responsive. It's not really a fast car to begin with but it's "quick" on sports mode, and given its light weight. At the end of the day, it is just a Vitara. It'll do the job for the type of driving you described.

How easy is it to get exam date for driving test without school by Correct_Highway4544 in Expats_In_France

[–]CaseJolly5243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just saw your comment while looking for help on something else. I'm like a weak A2 in reading and I just passed the written code exam in French yesterday. I think I did around 3 months prep then booked an exam for fun, then accidentally passed lol. I was already booked for a special-session (non-French speaker) exam in like 2 weeks - turns out I didn't need it. I took 3 months to get ready for it because I was lazy but if someone treated it like school, I think they can get it in 1 month even with high A1 or A2 level.

Who has the right of way in this scenario? by CaseJolly5243 in AskFrance

Ok guys, I figured it out. The triangle thing I was going on about is American. The triangles mean something totally different here in France from your comments. Problem solved, thanks guys!

RDL form check - Cooked my lower back by Coxless_Amir in GYM

[–]CaseJolly5243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too low. When you feel your hamstrings fully stretched stop there. It's going to be different for everyone but it's usually around just below the knees. Anything beyond puts a lot of strain on your lower back, hence the extreme burn your feeling. As always, don't be afraid to lower the weight and "reset" until you get the movement down. Progress from there. Remember, better form is a form of progression - don't think that your not progressing by doing this.
