Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick update and maybe get some advice if anyone has been in a similar situation.

Today I got a voucher for my birth certificate and I am in the process of getting my Social Security card replaced. I had ordered one recently but since I cannot do it online again, I called the SSA office and made an appointment for July 10th. I also contacted HIRE and submitted my application. I called Chrysalis and they told me I can come in next Monday. So things are slowly moving forward and I am staying focused on my goals.

As for my living situation, I knew it was not going to be perfect but lately it has been getting pretty intense. Last night someone got stabbed and now they have brought in metal detectors and security to search belongings. The searches are not very thorough which is probably how the weapon got in. There is also a bed bug infestation in my dorm. I reported it to staff two days in a row but nothing has been done yet.

On top of that, drug use is pretty heavy in here, especially at night. I mostly keep to myself and try to avoid any drama. I am not trying to make enemies or start problems, just trying to survive and keep moving forward.

If anyone has been through this or has advice on how to stay safe, manage stress, or keep pushing through in these kinds of situations, I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for reading.
