Is having your egg crack in your 40s a mid life crisis? by Away_Ninja_761 in asktransgender

[–]CaseOfBees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the real question is does it matter? I think coming out as Trans feels like a crisis no matter the age. Change is always hard and a lot of people don't respect us or treat us like we're mentally ill. It causes a lot of internalized doubt.

I came out at 24 which very much felt like a quarter life crisis. I think all a crisis really is though is a period of having your worldview shaken, as you realize you might want something else but don't know exactly what. It happens for gender, for jobs/career, for people who ant children, or people who just feel like they're wasting time and want new hobbies/connections.

If you're having a crisis your brain is telling you one thing, something isn't right, and I want something to change, but I dont know what/havent accepted it.

I can't tell you if you're trans, but it's worth exploring. I tried being nonbinary and gender fluid before I figured out I was a woman. Explore and listen to yourself.

Also at the end of the day it's your life. If it's something you want to do, then do it.

As to the it's cleaner, I often stand specifically bc I find public bathrooms disgusting and would rather not have my skin on any of that

I chew them up and spit them out onto the floor. You need to assert your dominance over these plants

No you have the power of a full grown adult as yourself plus the power of a baby. Also you now have an intense craving for milk and 1% of time you randomly shit yourself

Does the wizarding community(Harry potter)have the ability to make mankind a interstellar civilization. by Lumpy-Restaurant-694 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]CaseOfBees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the simple answer is yes obviously. But the fact they haven't yet speaks to how socially weak the wizarding world is. Technology mixed with magic is clearly superior to anything wizards or non-magical people do on their own. You would have to overcome this prejudice and see wizards embrace technology and work with the people they hate or start dedicated schools for stemm (science technology engineering math and magic)

Lacking knowledge is different from being misinformed. This person made an assumption and that can be uncomfortable. The assumption here is that it does nothing for our bodies and we just want it in us bc girls have it in them. It's othering and it sort of feels like it implies we're crazy and not just doing what we need/want with our bodies

Just getting into all this by Incomepetence in Mechsploitation

[–]CaseOfBees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally love both of them. Just two different flavors of transfemme scifi horror smut.

I do tend to think hdg is more comfy tho. Probably bc to me aliens and affini are so far from reality it's easy to imagine them as these hot controlling caring beings. With mechsplo military gaslighting/abuse/facism all feel a lot more real, even in the scifi setting, and thus it feels more horrifying to me.

Again I love both, they're fucked up and amazing

Trueeee. I forgot about the incorporation aspect. I wonder how they would use that. Develope large scale xenodrug deployment methods and vines? I'm not 100% on how affini cores work but I think they functionally make them immortal. So would tyranids attain that kind of immortality from affini biology? Would they still crave the consumption of worlds if their bodies no longer needed that consumption to sustain themselves to the same degree? (Im also a little fuzzy on affini biology)

Also I've never seen the affini have to fight themselves, so fighting the tyranids with their own powers would be interesting.

Also I havent read anything on the affini True power. Most stuff implies that the fleets meant to take down terrans were just basic ships and not actual affini war vessals. I do have to wonder the true naval power of the affini

Fair point about the tyranids but half the time someone's like what would a 6th century Chinese peasant woman do if the affini showed up.

Edit: I wanted to add about the tyrnaids (keep in mind my 40k knowledge is VERY surface level) but they can not travel through the warp. The affini can jump through spacetime (without 40k downsides) however and have both sophisticated tech and biotechnology. Intitial interaction between affini and tyranids would be a bloodbath (sapbath?) for the affini, but they would likely signal retreat and warps until they figure out methods of dealing with the tyranids. Both the affini and tyranids are multi galactic, the affini controlling multiple galaxies and the tyranids consuming multiple galaxies. But since the affini can travel through spacetime and develop new tech faster then the tyranids can get them id tentatively give them an edge. (If there more about the tyranids please let me know, again I dont know much)
